the moody blues are one of the groups that seem to know the truth in life. The knowledge that comes from a higher source. When you read the words to their songs and listen to their songs the have been given the gift that a lot of us seek. The gift of how life is to be lived. I believe that groups like this have been given to us as a tool to help us through life. I know it sounds weird but for me there is no other explanation
This was one of my favorites in the day. My slow burt out has a hard time remembering them all. But the feelings here when i hear them again. Thanks Moody blues. For the feelings.
Wow-haven't heard it in a while. First time (I dunno', 35 or more years ago) I thought "who are these guys?", even though I already knew and loved their music. Yup, we all feel small sometimes. Maybe that's the key-to sing to what people already know but never understood.
This song was NEVER played live in concert was it--due to the elaborate studio producfion and the poor equipment available for live concerts in the 60';s or at least on the moodys budget in the 60;s.
I have always loved this song!! This song has such an entrancing and ever so haunting melody to it. The whispering is just mesmerizing for sure!! I grew up on The Moody Blues!! They are truly a band all their own. Just pure perfection!! I can just drift off to a different time and place when i hear their music. Their music just touches your soul. It is wonderful that even today , their music is still touching people's lives. Beautiful!! They are truly magical indeed!!
All these great works - I am stunned, amazed, and in awe - I think I've entered heaven just listening to them all! Thanks 90000zOz for putting it up and allowing us all to have a listen.
THIS is a Graeme Edge tune. And, like many of the Moodies' very best songs, this is one of those rare gems that just never got the same amount of air play when it was released in 1970. Pinder's "How is it (we are here)", Thomas', "The Tide Rushes In', being two other glaring examples from this classic album, one of THE greatest albums of ALL time!
