If you love this film, get the extended version. There is a great scene following Guy & his dad's phone conversation about the store lights. The scene fleshes out Charlize Theron's character and also the Spartacus references. ALSO... another expanded scene happens right after Lenny and Jimmy visit Guy to ask him to sit in for Chad. It's the practice session part which has some funny dialog including an additional Lenny classic.

Omg, I never knew there was an extended version! I always knew there were some scenese cut out, because you can just tell, especially when you see the videos at the end, showing all kinds of stuff with Charlize and the dentist. How do I go about getting the extended version? I have the dvd and the vhs, but it's all the same version, and the dvd extras are zilch.

It would be interesting to hear why the name Herdsmen appears. I always thought it had to do with the fact that maybe the singer needs people with a herd mentality, that do exactly what he wanted, thus the name "Herdsmen", who act like a herd after what their leader commands them to...but that is just something that I felt, maybe it has some other meaning. Nice movie, love the evolution towards better instruments.
