You do realize solar winds pretty much hit us 24/7 and plays a role in our magnetosphere itself regarding protons and electrons right? Back to the point though...it's the same odds of being missed by 24 hrs as it is actually being hit. If one can happen so can the other. OFC it's not 100% accurate but there is a considerable reason to raise an eyebrow. The sun is due to flip polarity next year.
