if anyone heard of those Atlantis 'squirrel cages' they were a bit like this, the magnets keep repulsing one another, and it is used as a dynamo to transfer current into conductive wiring.
the reason these designs and ideas get knocked is that there's no maths for predicting in advance where to put what strength magnets, so that after an initial push it does indeed keep going (one way, then the other way, etc).
inventors just make things based on ideas. but the way the known principals are taught makes some people that learn them think they are a. gospel and b. the be all and end all, ie that you can't build or design something without knowing the maths first. as if!

Man y esa energia es infinita? me refiero a que nunca se agotara el movimiento de la fortuna, a lo que quiero llegar con esto es que si es haci se puede hacer energia infinita y hay esta el secreto de la vida .-.
As long as it turns, regardless or the direction, even if it changed direction every 5 seconds it could still be attached to a generator to produce electricity.
In all cases you need a reoccurring imbalance. With gravity pretty consistant all over, it is hard to achieve that. Friction seems to be the biggest obstacle yet. Or try something different than circular motion.
Fail. It took energy to start up. The idea is for it to start, remain in motion, and produce its own energy. If you have to start it off by spinning it yourself it's not perpetual. It needs to do it by itself.
@MrFobmarley If it starts using an external force and remains in motion for infinite time until stopped by another external force, wouldn't it be perpetual motion?
@Psi34ax "remains in motion for infinite time until stopped by another external force" lol if its in motion for an infinite amount of time then at what time would the external force come in....? You are sure what infinite means right =s?
@romainelettuce2 xD dude I meant in motion UNTIL it is stopped by another force, i,e keeps moving on and on and on *if* left undisturbed --> moves for infinite time :P sorry but English isn't my native language, hope you get what I meant hehe
This is interesting and it is good to create, even for the mere sake of keeping the topic alive.
I will not worry about saying this because nobody will be inclined to believe it anyway:
This matter of what some might refer to as 'perpetual motion' as it refers to these various magnet motor devices was solved a very long time ago . You might refer to it as a lost art sense the technology is not understood.
Most people, even the PhD's have a very dim understanding of field theory.
its TOTALY possible to build a perpetual motion device! yo just ned to make sure its in a perfect vacuum with no magnetic or gravitational influence... wait
perpetual motion is possible. it is a clear fact that perpetual motion machines never end. consiqently, a perpetual motion machin must have never began. find a video of a perpetual motion machine from the begining of time
Today's definition of perpetual motion is not what it was a few hundred years ago. The definition was changed to the point of it having to be God like. IMO this was done so that science can claim impossibility due to people like Bessler's success. But yet if a device produces power without power input? This would be called breaking the laws of Physics. But for this to happen it would have to perpetuate an action that keeps it running. Kind of a quandary, is it not? LOL
LOL this video is not a claim. It just had some interesting reactions, and something to learn from. As for your idiot statement. I have to laugh, for you are still stuck in a box and limited in vision. This video is nothing to what has been achieved. You will see soon enough. LOL
I know this video didn't claim it was.. I said it was a crap video, and it was.
PMSL, you actually believe that on earth with what we know now, you can build a machine, that you do not have to impart any energy into, yet you are able to get energy from it.. In practice you are saying that energy is available from nothing... is that your statement? If so, you are totally off your trolley mate.
@matthewt1501 What I am saying is there is a lot to learn about gravity. It will run, due to gravity. Take a peak out of your box and you may see the possibilities. It has been done before by Bessler. First showing in 1712. Do a little research, and not from nay-say books. But read what the witnesses said. One road is to rediscover what Bessler did. Then once you figured this out you can find other and stronger ways to build one that runs. ;-)
@ABthehammer From what I can make it's a wheel. A Wheel has to have an axle.. that axle needs bearings, and they create friction. Friction absorbs energy an emits it by heat (amongst other things)
"Nay-Say Books" What actual Physics you mean...The Same physics that makes your car drive and planes fly, steam engines work, and gas turbines spin. Gravity of the earth pulls things inward to the core...So does Gravity power something? It's not reciprocating, it only goes one way. Down!
@matthewt1501 you sound like a troll so im going to go TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL all day long TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL yes im a idiot TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! H4X0RZ
@ochick1 No, I'm trying to save people from their irrational belief in something that is actually impossible. You might as well say you believe in fairies, for all this lunacy of perpetual motion.
perpetual motion - motion that continues indefinitely without any external source of energy; impossible in practice because of friction - IMPOSSIBLE!
@matthewt1501 As we know today. The perpetual motion definition is operate eternally, almost the same as God. Changed a couple hundred years ago because some people where getting close to success. The old meaning was to operate until something stops it. Like parts breaking and so forth. Science could not have it so they changed the meaning to suite them. But lets see what they say when gravity's meaning is changed to an energy? Heck there is still arguments on push or pull but most say pull.
@ABthehammer "The old meaning was to operate until something stops it." - Friction, which it **WILL** because friction is everywhere. To overcome friction (or inertia) you need to impart energy into a machine. Petrol, Coal, Wood, Plutonium, "Gravity" (in the case of a clock work Grandfather clock) as soon as you take this energy away Friction (a the very least) starts to win.
Gravity does both to varying degrees on every thing in the universe.
Here is something I achieved for you to figure it out. 1lb moves 1 inch and it moves 4 lbs 4inches. You would probably think this is impossible. But it is not. Nor will I show you for it is part of one of my machines. ;-))
@ABthehammer Seeing is believing mate. It is possible to get 1lb to move 4lb, infact way more than 4 inches.. you just need to accelarate the 1lb to a speed where it's is greater that 4lbs. yes I get that. But does it keep going, perpetually? Does it keep going forever, without any further energy input? Is it Perpetual...I'd put money on it being a resounding **NO**
"Yes I believe it will overtake the friction. LOL" Yep My car overcomes friction to...But then oh wait I put fuel in it so it can.
@ABthehammer I didn't mean specifically you accelerate it, but it cannot move itself, and since the laws of motion dictate, an object wants to keep doing what it is doing. So if the 1lb is stationary something must act on it to make it move. Like wise the 4lb.
Though actually I think you are chatting crap. You're not willing to post a video, so here ends the conversation I guess. Unless you care to put your machines out there to further mankinds understanding of the world???
@the hammer yes i learned how to cheat the gate also. using three in the field and two out of the field on five separate axis, its like having the magnets from five separate universes connected by a wooden shaft the three magnets are always overcoming the two resisting magnets. quite beautiful actually. any way you crash through the gate with the force of one magnet to spare.
@DasBasdoInc But why would have to have never began? Surely, if you perfected this machine so that it runs in one direction continuously, it could be easily started with a flick of the hand.
@DasBasdoInc beacause, the speed you flick it with you hand is not 0 then 2 it is 0 0.000000001, 0.000000002 and so on, if you could hit the wheel at one speed if would have to go that speed instantaniosly. since you have to accelerate, it has to too, thus making it go faster. plus there is no such thing as a perfectly empty vacuum so it could move frictionless. but good p[oint
i noticed that by watching the middle of the wheel, it seems to be continuing the whole time in one direction, although the outer portion appeared to be changing directions, but that could be accredited to a lower quality camera without a very high framerate. just an observation.
Someone on here already made a very efficient magnet motor, which is much more efficient than this and may even provide over unity. The concept is much different than this.. Uses an electrical input for 43% of every rpm, and the magnet does the rest without any electricity. It is pulsed but with full torque even when electrical supply is off for the 67%. The concept is similar to a train wheel with the including of magnets, coil, etc. Might be in my favorites, it's real and well explained
It is funny how many people come to a conclusion without reading what the poster says. He never claims it to be perpetual. Read what has been said and then post if you want to. But do it with some knowledge of what it is.
Well, it is widely known you can create a perpetual machine by using magnets. It appeared in Scientific American around the 60's with a design similar to this one. The trick was a charger in the wood base, that captured energy from the electric field in the room, field that came from electric wires and devices that could be around. This device impulsed periodically the wheel to give the illusion of perpetual motion. This one is as cool and it could be easily improved in the same way...
@silverrose13666 I never said he claimed it to be a runner. I was thinking more along the lines of his hand making it reverse direction. He probably wants to make a runner though - or does he just love to play with wood and magnets so much he's got nothing better to do friday evening hmm? LOL at you sister.
that static motor stops and turns the other way only because of minute imperfections in the distance between the magnets on the wheel which which is enough to make the magnet on the bottom to attract the previous magnet not the next one and there for completing the circle.
It is so funny how many people act like this is an attack of some form on science. This was an a test that had a strange reaction. You spin it one way and it would stop and spin the other for a short time only. Nothing more, No claims of perpetual motion. It is what it is and nothing more.
A so called perpetual wheel, will run off gravity effects. ;-)
@ABthehammer There's no "strange reaction", you twit! Have any of you dopes wondered why there is no audio? It's being blown by compressed air you brainless morons! Wake up an smell you own gullibility!
Learn to read before comment "as you say, you twit/dope" Now think if I used compressed air. It would have spun much faster. As for sound LOL it was an older camera with no sound. Read and learn. To often when the mouth is in motion the brain stops thinking.
@ABthehammer lol! i know! right! I am pretty sure there are plenty of tests that fail in science till its done right. Raise your hand if you think the gasoline engine worked in ONE try with limited resources. I would love to see your hand.
You are so correct. I have built nearly 100 designs and that don't include test actions. In a since I have learned more ways not to do something. I am not going to raise my had for I know better. LOL
@ABthehammer sorry I dont fully understand, if you spin it one way and it stops - then it spins the other way again more than one turn ? ^^ I have a magnet wheel too and got this strange reaction just once and then it got out of position and I could never repeat it, if you spin it and it stops then it never get a full backturn, just 240degrees or something, but in that very special position i got once it turned back very long maybe 50 turns or something and that was really special ^^

if it is not perpetual motion what is it? what are you claiming if anything? what is your claims? what is this device? what is its source of energy? the tides ocean volcanoes yedda yedda yedda just what is your EXACT CLAIM? super long time? like a year? like 2 secs? a real claim has to be more specific than maybe who knows could be i dunno! o
Tides have been going perpetually up and down for thousands of years... like clockwork. Oh, eventually they may stop, in a few million years. Our solar system travels round the center of our galaxy perpetually with no motive power other than gravity. Again, not perpetual per say, but it will be several billions of years before that ever stops. The key to making a perpetual motion machine seems to not strive for absoltue perpetual, but use a motion with a super long time to ever run out.
All the major breakthroughs always come from garage type inventors...not saying this is any breakthrough, but most major innovation is by the independent, the big companies make innovations on existing inventions but not breakthrough inventions..
To the jackass who thinks these experiments should only be done by professionals... hey dumb shit, its guys like him and others doing these experiments at home that end up discovering things either by trial and error or by accident.
It's a good thing youtube wasn't around when Edison was working on the lightbulb. He would've gotten so much negativity thrown at him, he would have given up. Maybe everybody should work together and maybe something could get achieved. Oh yeah,....how many patents do you hold, Einstein?
I think perpetual motion should be left in the capable hands of proffesional people.. like the people who make the incredible exploding space shuttle with falling off tiles.
Just think if people like Adolf hitler had listemed to all his critics as a young boy... we wouldnt have all those HBO mini series now. So keep up the good work all you bedroom professors.. and dont listen to your mum. Strong magnets only give you illusions of perpetual free energy, and nothing else.

Congratulations sir! I'll say this, at least your are doing something. Even if it's just for the heck of it to see what happens. Just because some one does not have a piece of paper that say certified (Insert Name of Engineering or Trade Profession) does not mean that said person can not or should not contribute to the betterment of all. Cheers to you my good fellow. Don't let the you can not's get ya' down. Doing is what makes things happen.
there's natural energy at our own earths core, they can tap that energy for people to use, will they? no it would end starvation, it would end poverty. it would end imbalance. that's bad for government, and the armies,, wow,, talk about a fear driven fuckin race of people. afrraid to LOVE,, AFFraid to reach out and help a stranger. affraid how that looks to their fake ass fare weather friends, they think, are true friends. bullshit,, wake up world, America,
no one gets it, cept a few people here,, it's part of the solution,, it's not an end all be all machine that saves the world's energy problem, duh ! derr,, it's a part of it,, because yes, infinate power, is at our fingertips and in front of our faces but the world chooses not to see it,, the government is already welll awar of these things that work and have them for themselves and keep it from everyone to hold onto their cheap , petty , dirty, control, for their pride, egos, and status level.
Attempts to build a perpetual motion device should be performed ONLY by trained professionals. These homemade contraptions will end up being copied by some amateur who will be killed instantly or maimed for life.
I have to agree with you to an extent. People do try to build test units way to big all to often and that can be very dangerous. I myself am of 25 year blacksmith experiences and a certified welder of compressor tanks. IMHO all safety precautions should be taken and if someone lacks the skill, they should find someone to help who does. Flinging weights coming loose from a spinning wheel becomes dangerous projectiles. As well as extending weights become flinging weapons.
Oh Yeah baby! I have been killed several times by large prototypes which explains my unreasonable fear of.. well large prototypes. I am also afraid of stupid people with welders.
I predict it will always come to rest regardless of size even though the size and subsequent inertia are quite relevant to performance. I.e., size matters.
@sallymaggiespotty First of all NO competent professionals worth their salt will attempt to build a perpetual motion machine. Why? After millions experiments done by scientists the world over for 200 years has PROVEN that PM machines are against the Laws of Physics. They do not work. Why keep trying? They have tried. The Definition of Insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results. That perfectly describes today's people "trying" to make a PM machine!!!!!
@sallymaggiespotty these "trained professionals" already have free energy devices and are not yet in the spotlight to keep the oil companies well funded.
@sallymaggiespotty: Attempts to build a perpetual motion device should be performed by nobody cause they disobey the first and/or second and/or third law of thermodynamics.
@sallymaggiespotty yes people when you get it right it is going to take off to extremely high rpm ,lol somebody made one work ? lol think that's the only way you and i understand what takes place once you start it ololool to easy
@sallymaggiespotty yeah only trained professionals overcome the fact that you cant generate energy out of nothing. free energy maybe, perpetual motion never.
@sallymaggiespotty Its a wheel with magnets moving at less than 30 RPM's.. Not exactly dangerous. o.0. Aside from that.. its doesnt claim to be a perpetual motion machine, Simply an experiment.
@sallymaggiespotty yeah, one of those magnets could fly off and hit you in the head! give me a freakin break. if people didn't experiment, nothing would ever get done. stop being such a baby.
The time has come for Free energy to be revealed ,But the coverup is very strong,Get a REAL working magnet motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Start the energy revolution!
Does it slow down or is it just the camera not having a high enough FPS? Also I was thinking the Earth's magnetic thingy may affect it but idk if it's strong enough?
Interesting. The spring element gives the unpredictabile behavior characteristics I guess.
Anyway, irrespective of "ethereal" physics or else, magnets have power. There is a issue in that you have two polarities so if you get an acceleration on attract you get a drag on exit/repel. So the solution looks like mechanically moving the mags about, or rather using the forces applied to the mags to force them to take up the position you want at desired moment.
@nicbordeaux: Interestingly, magnets don't have "power" per se. A magnet does not consume or emit power in the creation of it's field; a magnet at rest will never "run out of power".
There is no way to get power from a magnet itself because the magnet does not have any more energy stored in it than an unmagnetized block of similar material.
ha ha i think its funny, i only come go to these videos to read the comments, .......some guy puts a video of a project he's working on and is proud of then, all the nut job wanna be physics professors come on and shit all over them, if i ever did invent a magnet motor i wont be putting it on youtube
I should have answered you earlier. But I do wish people would read the attached statement before posting. There is no claim of perpetual motion here, just and interesting effect.
@mrwiggles123123 I completely agree. The funniest part is, the only reason why any of these online folks talk so inconsiderately, is because they are hiding behind screens. In real life, they would never say any of these things, cause they are weak.
This magnet wheel is excellent....

@ochick1 No, I'm trying to save people from their irrational belief in something that is actually impossible. You might as well say you believe in fairies, for all this lunacy of perpetual motion.
perpetual motion - motion that continues indefinitely without any external source of energy; impossible in practice because of friction - IMPOSSIBLE!
matthewt1501 7 months ago
@matthewt1501 As we know today. The perpetual motion definition is operate eternally, almost the same as God. Changed a couple hundred years ago because some people where getting close to success. The old meaning was to operate until something stops it. Like parts breaking and so forth. Science could not have it so they changed the meaning to suite them. But lets see what they say when gravity's meaning is changed to an energy? Heck there is still arguments on push or pull but most say pull.
ABthehammer 7 months ago
@ABthehammer "The old meaning was to operate until something stops it." - Friction, which it **WILL** because friction is everywhere. To overcome friction (or inertia) you need to impart energy into a machine. Petrol, Coal, Wood, Plutonium, "Gravity" (in the case of a clock work Grandfather clock) as soon as you take this energy away Friction (a the very least) starts to win.
Gravity does both to varying degrees on every thing in the universe.
matthewt1501 7 months ago
@matthewt1501
Here is something I achieved for you to figure it out. 1lb moves 1 inch and it moves 4 lbs 4inches. You would probably think this is impossible. But it is not. Nor will I show you for it is part of one of my machines. ;-))
Yes I believe it will overtake the friction. LOL
ABthehammer 7 months ago
@ABthehammer Seeing is believing mate. It is possible to get 1lb to move 4lb, infact way more than 4 inches.. you just need to accelarate the 1lb to a speed where it's is greater that 4lbs. yes I get that. But does it keep going, perpetually? Does it keep going forever, without any further energy input? Is it Perpetual...I'd put money on it being a resounding **NO**
"Yes I believe it will overtake the friction. LOL" Yep My car overcomes friction to...But then oh wait I put fuel in it so it can.
matthewt1501 7 months ago
@matthewt1501
LOL I don't have to accelerate the 1 lb. That alone is a totally new action that requires input. Mine lifts from a stagnant position. Try again. LOL
ABthehammer 7 months ago
@ABthehammer I didn't mean specifically you accelerate it, but it cannot move itself, and since the laws of motion dictate, an object wants to keep doing what it is doing. So if the 1lb is stationary something must act on it to make it move. Like wise the 4lb.
Though actually I think you are chatting crap. You're not willing to post a video, so here ends the conversation I guess. Unless you care to put your machines out there to further mankinds understanding of the world???
matthewt1501 7 months ago
@matthewt1501
Soon enough and you will learn. I do plan on open sourcing one of my devices. but not before it's proper time.
ABthehammer 7 months ago
@the hammer yes i learned how to cheat the gate also. using three in the field and two out of the field on five separate axis, its like having the magnets from five separate universes connected by a wooden shaft the three magnets are always overcoming the two resisting magnets. quite beautiful actually. any way you crash through the gate with the force of one magnet to spare.
datzfast 7 months ago
@DasBasdoInc But why would have to have never began? Surely, if you perfected this machine so that it runs in one direction continuously, it could be easily started with a flick of the hand.
fudgyhoops 7 months ago
@DasBasdoInc beacause, the speed you flick it with you hand is not 0 then 2 it is 0 0.000000001, 0.000000002 and so on, if you could hit the wheel at one speed if would have to go that speed instantaniosly. since you have to accelerate, it has to too, thus making it go faster. plus there is no such thing as a perfectly empty vacuum so it could move frictionless. but good p[oint

oooh, the future of catapults, automatic catapult here we go!

Haha this proves it!! Perpetual motion does actually exist. You could put some generators on that and it would produce electricity forever!
TheNakedQuack 7 months ago
i noticed that by watching the middle of the wheel, it seems to be continuing the whole time in one direction, although the outer portion appeared to be changing directions, but that could be accredited to a lower quality camera without a very high framerate. just an observation.

Silver rose. he actually made this contraption thinking he could make a perpetual engine. You dont just make something like this and say
"hey it turns one way then the other"
There is no sound and there is a convenient white board hiding SOMETHING.
Scratching my chin I'd think that was a tad suspicious wouldn't you ?
52memor 9 months ago
Funny that there is a white board as part of this contraption.
Maybe it is hiding an electric drill turning the wheel and as there is no sound
you cant hear the drill either.

This one is as cool and it could be easily improved in the same way...

silverrose13666 10 months ago
@silverrose13666 I never said he claimed it to be a runner. I was thinking more along the lines of his hand making it reverse direction. He probably wants to make a runner though - or does he just love to play with wood and magnets so much he's got nothing better to do friday evening hmm? LOL at you sister.
depth386 8 months ago
that static motor stops and turns the other way only because of minute imperfections in the distance between the magnets on the wheel which which is enough to make the magnet on the bottom to attract the previous magnet not the next one and there for completing the circle.
mohamedgna 10 months ago
It is so funny how many people act like this is an attack of some form on science. This was an a test that had a strange reaction. You spin it one way and it would stop and spin the other for a short time only. Nothing more, No claims of perpetual motion. It is what it is and nothing more.
A so called perpetual wheel, will run off gravity effects. ;-)

The key to making a perpetual motion machine seems to not strive for absoltue perpetual, but use a motion with a super long time to ever run out.

sallymaggiespotty 1 year ago
@sallymaggiespotty
ABthehammer 1 year ago 4

Hi, well done,
but
you can only get something to work, if you use the virtual
centrifugal forces and convert them somehow into rotational forces.
Also use springs with it to store the forces and movements.
Only with levers and torque arms you will never get anything selfrunning !
This is from my own research.
Many thanks.

Interesting. The spring element gives the unpredictabile behavior characteristics I guess.
Anyway, irrespective of "ethereal" physics or else, magnets have power. There is a issue in that you have two polarities so if you get an acceleration on attract you get a drag on exit/repel. So the solution looks like mechanically moving the mags about, or rather using the forces applied to the mags to force them to take up the position you want at desired moment.
nicbordeaux 2 years ago
@nicbordeaux: Interestingly, magnets don't have "power" per se. A magnet does not consume or emit power in the creation of it's field; a magnet at rest will never "run out of power".
There is no way to get power from a magnet itself because the magnet does not have any more energy stored in it than an unmagnetized block of similar material.
