I love this song! I lived in Venice CA. When this song would come on the raido while I was cutting meat, (I was a butcher) I would start diddy-bopping to it. I was happy that I did not cut any of my fingers off.
The post below me sums it up. Back in the seventies and the eighties when they were all alive, they were great. Used to love the Beach Boys. They don't even come close now. But for all you Beach Boy Fans, Al Jardine has his own band together. His voice is still strong. He did a great album a few years ago called A Postcard From California. Fantastick. Check out The Al Jardine Website. His band is strong, with strong vocals. They blow the Beach Boys away.
this is not the beach boys. It is just Mike Love, and his terrible band. Too bad most of you could not have seen them back in the 70's and 80's when all members were alive. When Carl died and Al left the band the beach boys ceased to excist.
Terrible band? LOL I saw them live and they didn't sound so terrible to me. The harmonies were spot on. These guys play the classic Beach Boys songs closer to sounding like the original recordings live on stage than it's sounded in years. It's impossible to bring Carl and Dennis back from the dead. As a true Beach Boy fan I'm glad Mike and Bruce are keeping the music alive. Dennis and Carl both would have wanted them to do that!!
Darn right The Beach Boys still rock my gosh this sounds like the record I will never forget seeing them in concert back in 09 that made my year. And it was the best birthday gift EVER!!!!!!
