very nice vid i am planning on making my 55 gallon into a colony any suggestions? and could i just use a penguin 350 but put sponge over the intake tube so they don't get sucked up i have an old penguin so it only has 1 place for intake.

Just curious, how do you keep the fry from being sucked up in the filter. I am thinking of setting up a multi tank and have a penguin biowheel 330 or an Aquaclear 70 that I could use as a filter. I would like to use the aquaclear the filter slots are really large and I am somewhat worried it will suck them up. Do you use a prefilter?.

No offense, but don't you mean Lamprologus Multifasciatus, instead of neolamprolugus?

@bozmw77 they are the same species. just some species have different names.
