"Drugged power" is a good way of putting it. The original Loveless is like an enormous, incomprehensible psychedelic beast, whispering the secrets of the cosmos into your ear as the world around you is shredded and consumed by a boundless pink aether.

This cover is more like going for a pony ride on a sunny day. Pleasant but of an entirely different category.
