i dont remeber the site i just randomly came across it while researching how to guy the exhaust but he said he cut the caps of pulled everything out then welded them back on
It has nothing to do with VTEC. Straight piped 98-01 VFR's without VTEC have the same sound....scratch that...better sound because they have the gear driven cams!
Yeah, man. This is a 180degree crank v4. That's why it sounds somewhat like a v8. The only inline 4 that might sound similar would be one with a crossplane crank. Every car with an inline 4 has a flat plane crank which, when coupled with a fart can, aids in the rice sound.
You have to cut the ends of with hack-saw. Then hammer out the pipework and dividing sections and get the ends welded back on again. Once the exhaust has all of the chrome trim bolted back on you would never know the difference to look at it.
I've done the same modification after watching this video clip. Its totally awesome. Sounds like a mini V8! I was at the Isle of Man TT 2008 and so many VFR owners were asking me what i'd done to make it sound so cool....Better than paying 100's of pounds for a set of Staintunes! The whole thing cost me £50 for a spare set of stock cans. I still have the originals untouched.....
Typical bithcy moron. The guy is wearing his gear,he's doing everything right,so why do you have to shit.
Do you stop walking upright because it's bad for your spine,no ya don't,we won't stop riding either..there's a risk in everything and btw,his organs just may come to you.So i hope you do a nice face palm when you realize how stupid you sound!
Hey idiot! We both have health insurance. The first rider is me in the jeans and motorcycle boots. The second is my buddy in the shorts. He doesn't have gear, to each his own. The point of the video was the exhaust, quit finding something to bitch about
my brother has his cat gutted and leo vince slip ons bout makes you wet yourself

Hear the ABS brakes at 1:24
alleyken 1 year ago
@alleyken The bike does not had ABS brakes. Just enough brake pressure, where they were trying to lock up.

this is the only thing V-TEC I would ever own. nice job it sounds amazing.

Wow, Full gut sounds nice and deep. Was afraid it would be to high pitched or raspy.
Was going to go with the no weld, hope for a simialar tone but with slightly less volume.
Sounds much nicer than an inline 4.
Molsan 3 years ago 2
Ya, I was really surprised the first time I fired it up after the gutting. I've done a few of them since for people, take a few hours.
4x4runner1 3 years ago
Is this a full gut or the "no-weld" partial gut method?
skoorbevad 3 years ago
This is a full gut. All baffling pulled out. Then re-weld the end cap back on. If you pull off the trim, it'll still look like the stock muffler.

Typical organ donor. Probably doesn't have medical insurance either. That means we all get to pay for his stupidity. Bike sounds nice though!!!

What they are referring to is riding your bike in shorts and tennis shoes. Cause if you go down your feet and legs will be toast....
Racecarguy429 3 years ago

tunelliner 3 years ago
