what I dont understand is that i read one article and it said the daughter of that girl (woman) was playing and the neighbor saw her and talked with her and she ran off...why didnt that girl have the opportunity to tell the daughter to tell the neighbor that they are in trouble?

Well a better outcome than anyone could imagine. Yet the torture this couple put this girl under is just beyond words. He fathered two children with her and kept her from school as well as her children. Locked up in the backyard living in a shed that was only able to be unlocked and locked from the outside. HOW SICK AND MORBID CAN A MAN and WIFE be to do this to another HUMAN BEING! Well I hope they enjoy prison. I wish this woman / Girl ...all the best.
