  • No sorry I just meant meinl. The AA I meant the "meinl" symbol looks like 2 A's to ne for some reason lol.

  • Mine I got off a friend, and I've been playing with it for 6 months or so. It sounds pretty great as a crash, I have an old aa meinl ride I use for ride, but anyway, I don't know how old the zbt is but it does have a small crack in the side that will soon be the death of it (like my old 16" aa meinl crash I had) :( so they are thin enough to crack and break after a while of hard use

  • @drummerjstone Meinl aa? do you mean sabian?

  • i dono ive had this cymbal years and use it in a few of my vids. i know it does not sound as well as other upmarket cymbals but it does the job for me and its still going :)

  • This cymbal lasted me about 2 years the first time, 1 year the second time, and 5 months the 3rd time, im switching.

  • This thing is way to ride to be any kind of effective crash. Way to heavy.

  • SOO...IN THE END i read all the comment's and what i deduced was that SABIAN B8'S KICK MORE ASS

  • @Huargos1 Yeah, this cymbal totally sucks. B8 Pros are fantastic for their price.

  • REMO KICKS ASS

  • Ugh I like b8s pesonally more.

But I'm gonna save for some a custom rezo pack when I get a job but If I can't come up with it I'll get pst5 or b8

  • Would that be good for Enter Sandman?

  • is it me or does yours sound better than mine on the ride???

  • lol i hate zbt, zxt, zht is ok, z3, and most of all i hate remo

  • @TheMASDrummer evans are the best...hahaha!

  • what the hell, horrible.

  • Sabian B8s are one level above the zbts imo.

  • @MANNY295555 they are the same level, sabian b8 pro are like zxts and sabian apx are like zildjian zhts

  • I have this cymbal as well. I use it more as a ride though. Dont really like the crash sound it has. Other than that its great. I got it for about 70$ at my local music store.

  • Is that 175$ good price for ZBT 3 CYMBAL SET-UP including: 13" Hi-hat

    14" crash 18" crashride ?

    usually I play jazzrock

  • is this any good for a secondary ride or sumthin

  • i have sabian b8s and the zbt sound alot better for the money

  • @ramonbunny69 but which lasted longer??

  • ZILDJIAN A CUSTOM CYMBAL PACK FTW lol

  • i have this and i hate it tooo long of a ring and they bell suck :D

  • i have this but mine is zbt they are pretty sweet

  • i need tht cymbal .....i need a crash ride .....

  • @borderjumper67 dont this cymbal sucks it might sound good to you know but i will really start to annoy you. i got a ZBT starter pack w this, 13" hi-hats, and a free 14" crash. i went to guitar center 3 months after i got this and traded it in for 50$ off of my ZHT medium ride, i still have the hi-hats but i use ZHT mastersound 14". the crash i love but i might get rid of it in about 2-3 years.

Honstly crash-rides arent good to me i like having my crash.....then my ride but thats just me.

  • @Shortyfinlybob they are just d-bags and cant handle the truth!

  • Comment removed

  • Ive been playing for 2 years whats a better alternative that isnt too much more than the price of ZBTS?

  • I personally like the Sabian Xs20, there's a big pack of them on musicians friend for 500. That's kind of a lot though c: if you can afford that, it's worth it. Sabian B8s sound better I think (and I tend to favor zildjian)

Ummm ZXTs are like 300? now I think, for the pack of course.

My advice, save your money. 2 years of drumming means you should look into some good parts.

  • meinl hcs

  • paiste pst 5s or meinl hcs

  • @syth506 meinl mcs are better then both:D!

  • yeah i have a paiste alpha 22 ride my dream cymbal is chris adlers 24 pure metal ride

  • @Shortyfinlybob I totally agree with you 100% but then again. they are GREAT cymbals for beginers

  • They are great, I don't know why I got two thumbs down for my last comment, which I removed; but anyway, I still stand by what I said on the crash, it's garbage.

It's great for beginners, it's what I started with, but that doesn't change the fact that the quality of these cymbals are... bad. Haha, I'd replace them rather quickly if you're serious about drumming.

Sabian B8s I honestly think are the BEST begging cymbals out there.

  • yea... I started out with Zbt's and after like 3 month I switched because I didnt like the sound anymore and now Im playing with Zxt's and my next cymbals are going to be Pitch black cymbals.

  • @XDrUmErBoY512X NO! Do NOT go Pitch Black! Those things are SO bad. The only good thing about them is they look cool.

  • virginia's drum hardware is NOT cheap at all!!!

  • @TheMisfit123456789 You think they blow because you're a moron. The A Custom series crashes sound fricken amazing. Not like sabians which pretty much sound like thick unhammered plates. And i have no idea why people go for paiste cymbals. The high frequency of those is just ridiculous. If your hearing is pretty good you'll ruin it within a month of playing paiste cymbals.

Zildjians are awesome. ZBT series is el cheapo though, but still sounds way better than sabians el cheapo series.

  • Totally agreed! The majority of Paiste cymbals are made out of B8 bronze, which is the same as what's found on low end Zildjians, Sabians and Meinls.

  • @ronnysoeberg Could not agree more with your statement.

  • @ronnysoeberg Why can't someone else bash Zildjian but you can bash the other popular cymbal companies? Fuck off, hypocrite. Paiste, Sabian and Zildjian are all great cymbal makers, quit being biased asshole. I'm a proud owner of all three companies.

  • zxt ride is better imo

  • it would be , its hammered in a more complex way

  • My friend bought the pack and they all sound pretty good. The hi hats are thin and need to be mounted on a stand with tension adjustment to keep them from choking up.

  • my friend got the pack and it is shit, High Hats are sweet though

  • yes here in mexico zbt`s are chaper than paiste

  • if you want a well priced good qaulity cymbal dont waste your time on zbt's. Paiste pst 5's are cheaper and are farrrrr better than the likes of these. Paiste really are the best.

  • here in PERU zbt are so much cheaper than pst5

  • no way

  • i have that one an 18" 45 china and a 18"45 crash

    they sound amazing

  • ive got that

  • is there any difference between crash/ride and a normal ride?

  • yea crash/rides u can use as a crash or a ride and a normal ride only as a ride

  • crash/ride it a mix off both. It's genarally stated that they are not as good as a true crash or a true ride. And a standard ride will be more prenounced and bigger. Better sticking, overal better really

  • actually not a bad crash ride considering the price.

  • the zbt 20" ride sounds great for its price

  • yea theyre awesome!!!!! i have a 20" ride, 10" splash 14" hats and a 16" crash but the crash sounds like shit lol

  • yeah, sounds like shoot!!

  • Does ZBT cymbals have a lathing process?

  • yah

  • Lol ?? Paiste 101 is not a bad cymbal ! It sound around the same as those ZHT , ZBT B8 etc.

  • is it good sound in zildjian zbt crash/ride?

are im gonna buy it? :)

  • please help me!.. to all drummers out there, I in need your expert advices.. what do you think is the best cymbals that is not that expensive?... aside from a customs and K.. i cant afford them.. is sabian b8 or paiste 101 better than Zildjian ZBT?? please reply tnx..

  • paiste 101s are bad

zildjian zbt and sabian b8s are roughly the same level b8s are a little better

  • sabian xs20 are my favourite, they may cost more but you get what you pay for

  • ya i think b8s are a little better than the zbt's.

  • zildjian zbt are cheap but sound pretty bad (been there done that) b8 owns them

  • I hate B8's, ZBT are much better!

I have this cymbal, but the ZBT logo is different... :S

    Dont know why...

  • these are the new type of zbt's i know wat ur talking about my friend has some theyre really the same

  • i used to have this it sounded like poopoo i had to put duck tape on the bottom

  • i reckon the ride sounds kinda gongy. i got the ZBT set the hi hats r awesome

  • thats a good ride

  • i have this cymbol, its okay, its cheap (in price) and sounds pretty good,

  • I've got the ZBT4 and the ride is awful it will ring for a year

  • you have to add some ducktape on the bottom of your ride, then it stops the ringing

  • how much duct tape and does it matter were, like closer to the bow or closer to the bell?

  • i taped it with 4 x 15CM (5.5inch) strokes closer to the bow then to the bell, but don't go to close to the bow or it will sound even shittier

  • well its better if u put it on the bottom of the cymbal, closer to the edge

  • well the thing about ZBT's and crash rides is, ZBT's break easy, and all crash rides are more of a crash or more of a ride, since they are ZBT's not every one will sound the same...mines ok for crashes, terrible ride

  • I got this for Christmas today. Only mine isn't ride/crash it's just crash.

  • I love the sound of this cymbal!

  • That's what I've got, it's so great. I wish it had more ride to it all around, but within the shoulder, near the bell, it sounds awesome as a ride. It's also a good, long, healthy crash sound too.

  • That cymbal broke for me after a year, but before it broke, it was an extremely good, versatile cymbal!

  • how did it break?

  • I hit it too hard too often I guess. I'm pretty sure I was playing Killswitch Engage when it broke :)

  • I wanna buy!

  • No you don't. It's a terrible, terrible, terrible cymbal. Never buy it.

  • thats exactly the comment i was looking for. mine is such crap. it sounds so horrible and there is like no clarity in my hits. ITS GARBAGE.

  • ??? i have this cymbal, and for metal, its great, and it is awesome for the price, it is totally worth the money.

  • @Colerosity,the bell tone is very pronounced.I always preferred the sabian b8 or even a used b20 crash/ride.

  • @Colerosity its not terrible at all! i have it and it works and sounds good to me. i think it depends how you use it and for what type of music

  • @AlexTheDrummer110 im gonna buy it :) its way better then sabian

  • @Cloudkit90 i hope you didnt buy that peice of shit, dont do it,

  • @Colerosity its not what u think

its what the drummer is looking for not of what people say about it

  • @Colerosity why i was gonna get it but then i saw this comment and i'm worried what's bad about it it's Zildjian .and they dont make crappy cymbal's or do they ??

  • @Huargos1 Zildjian does make some great cymbals, but their cheapest line (the ZBT/ZXT/etc) are not good quality. Look for K or A cymbals.

  • @Colerosity OH!! thx 4 the reply ill save for a ''K'' but anyways witch brand u think makes the best cheapest cymbal's SABIAN or ZILDJIAN that's a good question :P

  • @Huargos1 Meinl makes the best lower price cymbals. I have Meinl hcs series along with zildjian K and zildjian A custom and the Meinl sound Very good
