  • Some guy wrote that Ronnie Drew was not to the level of Pecker Dunne. Both are TWO GREAT singers. So refrain from showing your distaste. It's only question of taste n colour which is not argueable.

  • I've just listened to the Pecker's version and I must disagree, the Pecker, great as he may be, does not have the deeo gravelly voice that Ronnie has.

  • Sullivan's John runs away with a tinker's daughter. Ronnie makes it magical. You will never hear the likes of The Dubliners again.

  • The pecker's version is by far better than ronnies although it is also pretty good! the pecker is the last of a great generation!!

  • @28darrenenright I can only imagine you were drunk when you wrote this. Anyone still possessing their critical faculties would disagree with you.

  • imagine ronnie and the pecker singin this together. i wish i was back in the 50's.

  • the man who wrote its version s the best Pecker dunne

  • "with a tewil box on yer back"

  • @rorymorris1 What about a toodle ''box'' ?!

  • pecker dunne wrote this great song. good stuff the dubliners. bed in heaven to ronnie.

  • not every one can say that ronnie drew sang their dads song bed in heven to the mad he was a true legond x x

  • Ronnies playin in the background is great! He always keeps that great beat goin with a unique style and no strummin, just picking..excellent.

  • Lovely singing, and lovely song by the dubs. RIP Ronnie Drew.

  • I love Ronnies voice.

    R.I.P Ronnie we miss you

  • It is a shame he's gone isn't it. A lovely song, and the banjo is great ! What is the name of the chap who plays the banjo, he is so quiet in interviews I've noticed.
