I´m sorry if i offend JMJ fans with this comment, but Jarre´s gratest hit is Oxygen IV, and i think he copied this melody, made some modifications, played it slower and gave them a lot of special effects. I really love Jarre´s job, but i think he just took a melody and made it spectacular with that talent he has

Popcorn was not composed by Jarre. It was originally recorded in 1969 by Gerson Kingsley.

Actual name of the band on this track is "Popcorn Orchestra" ...yeah real imaginative name there. JMJ was the bass player on the track; it's available on his "Rarities 2" CD.
