As an aside, I don't understand why the UK government is so worried about hanging murderers, including child murderers but are absolutely happy for us to fight colonial wars and kill numerous innocent civilians and lose the lives of your youngsters that fight such wars.

The lethal injection seems the most humane way to do it compared to the electric chair, gassing, hanging and firing squad.. The UK no longer has a death penalty which traditionally used to be used by hanging...the last prisoner to be hung was a woman who shot her lover.. The UK does however still reserve the capital punishment (hanging) for the crime of treason. That's good to know for when we finally get the corrupt politicians.
