I have a problem... I want to learn playing piano and I have a piano... but it don't work... and in my town nobody teach piano... I don't know what I must do!!!
@Trullo795 One; if your piano is dead, buy another. Two; music shops generally sell self-teaching piano books for adults as well. If your music shop doesn't sell it you can go to a teacher's shop that teachers get their schooling books from and see if they have piano books.
I'm studying this nocturne...it's very sublime... :)
But, sorry...where is it in the movie "The Pianist"? I watched it yesterday, he never plays it, I didn't listened to it during the scenes...I also checked the end credits, and "Nocturne in E min" is not present... Maybe there are some deleted scenes in the Italian version? (I'm Italian)
@MisterMolloy Actually, the film was inspired by a book of the same title by, you guessed it, Wladyslaw Szpilman. Clearly, the music is appropriate for the film and everything...No question of that.
@Montyleeny14 fair point yes, the music was composed by Chopin, not by the person who made the film. Roman Polanski was inspired by the music composed by Chopin when making the film :/
It sure does. Just another example of how people ignore basics in the English language. People actually think you "drive" a plane or a boat; this is no different. Don't even get me started on "their", "there", and "they're."
@LordTyrannus Many hears ago, on a teachers' demo, one bright young thing carried a banner proclaiming: "Your kidding!" I think we owe a lot of linguistic inadequacy to American film makers. One example : "........I shrunk the kids." The word ;persuade' has almost disappeared from American English, being superseded by 'convince'.
@niveditavasant Adrien Brody is only the actor, i was wondering who the actual pianist was, the one who plays this particular piece. But I got it figured out aready, thanks though :)
Thumbs up if you love and can play this song :D

What if a foreigner is trying to express himself here, ... is he allowed foreigners' mistakes or is he also subject to the language gestapo?
ConanJana 2 weeks ago
it's not music inspired by the film, is music by chopin, one of the great romantic pianists, the film is inspired by the music

@MisterMolloy You need to learn how to differentiate between 'inspired' and 'composed'.
