The term "messianic Jew" is a no-brainer. What you refer to is an apostate, Jews have sadly betrayed their people and become Xtians. However, a Jew can always repent and return to being a Jew.
Where are you? It has been so long since I've heard from you. I hope the Almighty is keeping you well, I miss our conversations and hearing your lessons.
I had the honor this week to stand before the congregation with Ubi for Simcha Torah. Wish you were there.
Yehoshua, most disciples, and most early apostles were Jews. The only reason the 1st century church became what we know today (away from Judaism and its practices) was because of evil men like Nero, Constantine, Hadrian, etc who outlawed feasts and Torah. Yehoshua is in Torah, Psalms, and the Prophets. Is Jesus/Yehoshua the Moshiac? The chance that any one man fulfilled all 48 prophecies (Torah, Psalms, Prophets) to be 1 in 10 to the 157 power. Let the Spirit guide you into all Truth.
@EhudUlmert I appreciate your comments, but when a person calls another ignorant and is unable to explain why he or she considers the other ignorant, there is a credibility issue. Your comments do not seem relevant. I would encourage you to try again though.
@birmington You guessed wrong, my pedigree is probably better than yours. But, you have fired off a lot of comments hoping one will stick. None have!!
Messianic Jews were the new guys on the block in the days of Yeshua. Both the Romans and many Jews gave them trouble. The Romans, after Constantine became Christian, made it a crime for a follower of Yeshua to take part in synagogue worship. Many Jews resented the fact that Messianic Jews decided to sit out the rebellion against Titus.More Coming
@meypole Part II (See earlier post beginning with: "You guessed wrong" ....This is a very important point: The first followers of Jesus were at the mercy of both oppressive Jews and Romans. Obviously, Messianic Jews, and their Christian brothers/sisters have become a large force in the world and need not face the rath of Rome or the Sanhedrin for their actions. Many Christians are joining their Messianic friends in returning to the First Century ways of Yeshua & the Apostles. G-D's IN CONTROL!!
@birmington No a Messianic Jew is a Jew who believes that Jesus Christ, who came as a Jew, is their Messiah. Christans do not celebrate Jewish festivals and feasts, Messianic Jews do. Soon you will learn that Jew and Christians are brothers, the descendants of Abraham.
@Kedorlaomerist Actually, the Jews are a lot smarter than you take them for. They reject the Christian relgion and object to calling Xtians by that phony term Messianic "Jews."
@EhudUlmert I never said Jews were not intelligent. I think God has blessed them greatly and many are leaders in their field of medicine, law, etc. I have much respect for the Jewish people. However, the first people to follow Jesus Christ were Jews, they gave us the message. Shalom
@EhudUlmert Your comments have been around for 2,000 years. Most Jews in the days of the Apostles did not like the followers of Yeshua, but they generally accepted them. The followers of Yeshua took part in synagogue worship until the third or fourth century. Messianic Jews today are returning to their First and Second Century beliefs. You can waste your time trying to label them what you wish, but the movement of G-d will not go away. Messianic Jews are here to stay.

@MrBotaman How do you know whether someone is Jewish? Well, just make sure that he does not call himself messianic Jewish.

@WhatIsALieWODeceived This is very funny. Yehoshua is the name of the 6th book of the bible, called Joshua in English.
You have your history a bit mixed up.

Your calling his "rabbi" makes as much saense as your calling him "pope."
birmington 2 years ago
He fits the requirements for "rabbi" not "pope".
meypole 2 years ago
No rabbi is that ignorant of Hebrew.
No rabbi has accepted Jesus as anything other than a bad Jew.
So no, this guy is neither a rabbi nor a pope.
But he does make a fool of himself, don't you think?
birmington 2 years ago
Well said.
birmington 2 years ago
@meypole Neither. Certainly not Rabbi. He is far too ignorant to even study for the rabbinate.

@meypole There are no "Messianic Jews." There are Xtians masquerading as Jews.
I just cannot figure out whom you think you are fooling.
Maybe Buddhists will believe your nonsense.
