what was the patch used by Andre Straesser (three n'one) for the "cafe del mar" remix. the melodic part was played by this machine, if im not mistaken.
@owen320 The answer(s) to a question like that go beyond the scope of a little comment area like this on YouTube. Honestly, you would be best served by going to an online forum. Google "harmony central keys synths samplers" and go to the Harmony Central forum for electronic musicians. Lots of knowledgeable people there.
@mpresev Everything is sample-based, and the samples are from the mid-90's. There are many usable synth-sounding patches in the 1080, but they are not its strong point, so I would not buy it specifically for those.
@Straydogger how much exactly did you get it for? cuz i'm looking at a few on ebay and it seems the lowest price i can get it at is 200, and thats only if nobody else bids...i'm just wondering if i should buy one of the ones hey have up there now or wait a little while for one to come along at a cheaper price
Just picked one up for $200.00. Now I'm going to put it in my rack and see if I can make heads or tails out of it. Roland's aren't the most user friendly synths in the world, but I like them and own several.
At around 3:00 (Jz Gtr Hall) -> Isn't that sound used in a great dance/house-classic where it plays the melody... Probably used in alot of songs, but does anyboy know what I mean??
Nice work! Looking into getting this synth for my keyboardist/writing partner. We live many miles apart and we're doing the new eJamming thing and VSTs are not possible unless an external laptop is used, which just complicates things. This seems like a great module with a good variety of presets.
YouTube keeps a copy of your original video, they have been doing that since the start. Will most likely offer HD-quality options and stereo in the next version of YouTube. Oh great stuff as always! Always impressed by your skills.
Lots of youtube videos get downconverted to 22050hz 8kbit/s including this one. You might try uploading 640x480 @ 30fps (not 29.97fps), ~30mb in size. That might be the trick for publishing mp3 44100Hz at 96 kbit/s or better.
Thanks - I truly want to have these videos be of the highest quality. That being said, this video, when uploaded to YouTube was 137mb in size. MPEG-4 video, 640x480, 30 fps. Audio is AAC 44.1 khz stereo, bit rate 128 kbps. Any ideas?

@CapnKeys LOL. It's a metal sheet music stand, with the music-holder part turned horizontally.

@keybdwizrd Lol what kind is it? It seems to work nicely.

3 dislikes? why? the JV synths are better than Yamaha Motif.

It's been a while now and I'm not quite sure of the exact price but if you can get one for around two hundred go for it. They are great units.

do you ever use the sliders, knobs and transport controls? is it ok if you dont have those on a midi controller?

What amazes me is the ideas you come up with for patches which I would have just thrown away, like "alternative"
