I don't I live here in the UK< and watch alot of cooking shows, but the main reason for this, I think here that the shows are to be interesting and informing. While in the US all take place in studio kitchens and it all looks bland.

I find it amazing how a cooking show in britain can play these famous songs, but here in the US, its the same recycled elevator music.
