  • music appreciation...

  • Keep on running, running from my dog.... ;)

  • Sandra Dee Lawson.

  • he's determined to run her down though...

  • Love the scenario of this song..boy is in love with a girl who just wants to be his friend and she keeps a running from his love...

  • LOVE THAT CLAVINET !!!!!!!

  • Fuck YEAH!!!!!

  • Should have gone higher than #90 POP.

  • how the hell do you dislike stevie wonder, whats wrong with the world

  • love stevie wonder but winwood's version is 50x better than this

  • @89jwow They're not the same versions lol

  • @timmy841212 ya... i know. I said i liked winwood's better. Are u a dumb ass?

  • @89jwow I know you did. Why argue?

  • @89jwow they are different songs. please don't insult people until you know what you're talking about.

  • Musician, Activist, Revolutionary, Futurist, Visionary. No matter the word used to describe him, Stevie is The Man.

  • i kinda wished i'd of wrote, played, and sang this one. oh man he can sing. listen to it. listen to all of it. you talk about being down with it on the true rythem and blues, check it out. listen to it loud on headphones late at night in your bed with the lights out. late at night, dig it.

  • It's a no-brainer! I came here because his cut is a #badassjam!

  • This song is a religious experience; it's as if he's chanting and conjuring up the "holy spirit' of soul music.

  • F*ck these corporate bastards for cheapening our music and culture. Nothing compares to this LIVE performance...

  • @knice1895 Fuck the evil corporations man! Let's start a village of our own without any of the evil corporations and play live concerts and stuff.

  • i am a white male born and bred in birmingham 53 years old loved steve from the first time i heard he has been my hero eva scince, noone has and ever will beat his sheer genius his music will allways be around, it has meaning who cares if the great unwashed never here his message ME

  • it's one of those things i don't even try to figure out how he does it. i try to figure out why it takes me where it does and why i imagine, as well as imitate, that i write these songs myself....you know, for someone to say and sing what i'm trying to say, but do not know how...

  • dear juniorfats: you said it!! i've been listening to this man since around 1972 when i was kid listening to late night radio out of AM radio 89 WLS out of chicago. your the 2nd person i've heard call him a genius. i think the first was former vice president AL Gore's wife.

  • The fact that today is Stevie's birthday really makes my day :-)

  • How does a song of this calibre only have 88,000 views? The fuck is wrong with the world?

  • 5 people are still running from Stevie's love.

  • @thekid09406: You are so right!!! Please--R.Kelly will never be able to touch Stevie Wonder!

  • @tmwilliams54 r. kelly is still a boy in his own mind

  • @ChefLaDale You're probably right--how else can you explain his behavior!

  • fuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love this! The breakdown from 3:59 onwards is genius, listen to his keywork on the organ, you couldn't play that if you tried!!

  • I'm not one of those "this generation of music is terrible" people but no one will ever come close to Stevie.

  • Geniaccio!!!

    Nasty Genius!!!

  • Whoever disliked this track OBVIOUSLY does not understand what real music is... It's quite sad. They probably think "FUNK" is nothing more than what comes out their underarms.

  • @Jonnn79 - I can't stop laughing at your comment!!! :)

  • you tell 'em Stevie.

  • can't compete with this talent today [NO WAY]

  • @johnniewalker23.. ILOOVE U Johnnie u have allowed me to appreciate stevie wonder more than i ever thought i would since 08... i remeber trying to find jesus children right after watching the Purtsuit of Happyness and coming across the song via your upload THANK U SOOOO MUCH!!! b4 i only knew cherie amour and other mainstream but his music is a part of my blood now THANK U

  • That Moog Bass really internally drives this song.

  • Stevie at his funkinest grittiest best!

  • Music of Stevie's mind... and his soul. He puts it all out there.

  • "Somethin's gonna jump out de bushes and grab ya"...so sketchy but I love it! He's so amazing...

  • r kelly is an rshole. Totally talentless. Stevie is the boss, and the stuff he came back these times probably his best.

  • Black guys with accents means what? They might as well be from down south and talk country. How Stella Got Her Groove Back.

  • I was touched first by Stevie, when I was a boy of only 9 or 10. I heard his "I was made to love you". Since this day I collected all of his records and I never regret it, because his music is a big part of real all school soul and funk music at it's best.More than 40 years later I can hear all of his tunes and enjoy them like they have been released today - with which crap of today you can do it similar?Stevie is outstandig heritage of the black americans - respect! (from me as whitie, 58.)

  • Does anyone know where I can find some 'making of' footage regarding his first 2 breakout albums? (MUSIC OF MY MIND & TALKING BOOK) Fab posting.

  • Stevie Wonder is a prophet, R.KELLY a profit.

  • @siamsurf Well said! If it ain't about f----g, R. Kelly can't write it, sing it, or perform it. He's a gimmick.

  • The man is an absolute Genius!!!!! the Eight (8th) Wonder of the World!!!!!

  • It's true, some gonna grab ya, but ya gotta keep on runnin...

  • @PHATSKOHE u r a fucked up piece of horseshit for saying that.

  • tut fuck off you probably told your m8s the same joke you fuckin penile strain

  • @PHATSKOHE STEVIE WONDER'S A MUSICAL GENIUS D:<, ahaha i just felt like putting that out there

  • @PHATSKOHE No, I happen to actually have respect for those with disablities especially when their one of the most talented musicians ever.

  • That Moog tonto with clavinet and piano is nasty than a mug,, this takes me back!!!!

  • r. kelly and stevie wonder do not belong in the same sentence

  • I'm definitely OL SKool. Stevie and I were born in the same year. He is truly "genius" While I don't particularly care for R. Kelly, I still consider him one of the TOP talents in the industry - He could at least be in the same paragraph as Stevie. Many youngsters are talented today - It's just that TODAY doesn't demand talent, unfortunatelly. Mediocrity is OK.

  • i agree with you about today, but r kelly cannot even tread water against stevie's musical prowess.

  • WTF?!?! stevie could play piano fucking good and sing at the same time and make improvisations and what does R.KELLY can??!!??! singing like a raped baby and dancing around worse...

  • @thekid09406 I'll give you R. Kelly. But Stevie? Stevie is a genius. Give him his propers -- he's earned them.

  • @thekid09406 thank you!

  • @thekid09406 Thank you!! Because R. Kelly is not genius!!

  • @celestialpathway - Ain't that the TRUTH! :)

  • @celestialpathway woah r is the R in R&B yall trippin

  • @thekid09406 No they don't, which is why I will dislike your comment.

  • @thekid09406 R Kelly is a genius and great singer. The ONLY reason you hate on Kelly now is cause of the pedophile thing. If he didn't film himself doing that disgusting stuff you would be a fan. I do not like him as a person, not after pissing on 15 year old girls. However I seperate his music from his character.

  • @ENJ4321 I'll give respect for R. Kelly as a musical singer, his character is terrible as you said. HOWEVER, he still isn't even near the level of Stevie Wonder, whom is not only a living legend but a musical genius in the true sense of the word.

  • His sense of humor injected into the song is what sets guys like him, r. kelly and the like apart.

  • The Oracle of our times.....

  • "you know how I feel about singers, you don't impress me. If you wanna impress me take the wheel for a while muthafucka....."

    LOVE that bit

  • steve wonder was a musical genius mothafucka(wipes nose), you fucked up, yo mama chews from the back of her head.

  • @retardedpeoplelegion

thats all I think of when I listen to any song from this album lol.

  • Well! It show does me. I could be wrong,

but it sounding like you're critticzing. It

does impress me. It took alot hard work,

the music to be heard. It could me

    misunderstood.

  • right basically guys i'm sorry i meant to give this five stars but accidently gave it one so there it is i'm sorry

  • We all forgive you. Now go and sin no more. LOL!

  • it is okay; we forgive you

  • is it.. keep on running from my dog? or door? ... i personally hope its dog... just to show the comedic brilliance of stevie 'THE GOD' wonder.. peace

  • actually it's keep on running from my love...lol but never mind, keep on running from my dog is also a very interesting possibility

  • keep on running from my "love"

  • Tight little jam huh?

  • Along with Summer Soft, this has to be my favourite Stevie track. Gritty and soulful, I love the raw feeling in the track. This is archetypal early 70s Stevie.

  • This is totally FUCKING AWESOME

  • There is NO talent today that can even compete with this. In the corporately produced crap that's out there now it's a joy to hear real pure genius !

  • Well to be fair, there was no individual talent even back then that could compete with Stevie. He is just a legit, bonafide one-of-a-kind genius!

  • @juniorfats I put Prince near the same talent category...so to speak.

  • @juniorfats I agree... :)

  • @juniorfats Sure, there wasn't corporations in the 70's !!!

  • @fgbraz87 hah nice

  • THIS DA JAM

  • One of the first Motown albums not to be dependent on the Funk Brothers.

  • Charlie Wilson said he learned everything vocally from Stevie Wonder, this song is a good example!

  • THE GREATEST IS... STEVIE WONDER!

  • U NEED THIS THING TO GRAB U

  • the one and only album. ever.

  • i cant help it if you dont feel me. and of course they are other phenomenal albums. leave me alone.

  • FAST AS HELL FUNKBOMB!!!!

  • you saved me doing it you are a saint and I will enjoy!

  • i lvoe thus song

  • OMG!!!!!!! THIS IS UNADULTERATED STEVIE WONDER... ONLY STEVIE COULD CREATE SOMETHING THIS INTENSE>>> YES YES YES..... YOU ARE THE BOMB>>> THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU... can you post "ORDINARY PAIN"?

  • Ordinary pain and It aint no use are my favorite Stevie songs.
