Genesis 1:11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. amen???
@LIMPDOOOD435 Um... Yes. I have been growing and smoking since 1984. I have smoked approximately 40 pounds over the years and I have grown about 150 different strains of cannabis over the years as well. What makes you think I don't understand it? I am pretty sure I understand it better than most.
@duboisiboy Oh you were being sarcastic. Sorry I was letting my Asperger's Syndrome get a hold of me again. You have way more experience than me I can see. I can name facts but I dont have that much experience with it since I've only been smoking it for about 4 years.
they aren't going to fully legal because of the tobacco and the alcohol industry, if marijuana was legal then tobacco would lose a shit load of money and we all know the U.S. government rides the cigarette companies too hard to go against their will, but it can be decriminalized to a point where possessing marijuana is as bad as a parking ticket
@amaznazn1nvazn Actually tobacco industry wouldnt lose much. I dont smoke tobacco but i have alot of friends that do and I know for a fact that even if pot was legal they would still look to cigerettes a lot of the time. Plus there would still be times when ppl cant smoke pot so what do they look to? the main reason why it isnt legal already is because theres no sure-fire way to tax it since it comes with seeds for you to grow on your own lol. There are way too many benefits to keep pot illegal

Amazing, not a single person discusses this issue in terms of our Natural Rights. By what reasoning does the government have the right to tell me what to do with my body, as long as I'm not impinging on other's rights.
Also, not a single mention of the 800,000 people arrested every year on pot charges, or the almost 400,000 people in federal prison for pot charges. It's a national disgrace that we who supposedly treasure freedom would allow our government to do this to us.
14 states plus 2: Medical Marijuana legal in Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state; plus D.C. & Maryland soon, see NORML org website
Cannabis is already legal in California and a bunch of other states. All you need is a fairly easy to get prescription. Now the government just wants to make money whenever we buy it. So every time you get high you'll remember that some greedy politician profited from you doing so.
I can make beer in my garage and no one profits from that. Thats all I want, to grow my own plants (legally) and not have to worry about getting busted, just like if I brew some beer in my garage, I don't have to worry about some punk bitch DEA agent raiding me.
Drugs remain illegal because corporations want a convenient excuse 4 terminating employees, police want a convenient excuse 4 harassing 'undesirables', and alcohol, tobacco & pharmaceutical industries don't want the competition. US is a de facto corporatocracy run by lobbyists & special interests. Health care bill benefits insurance companies, hospitals & doctors; public forced to pay premiums regardless of economic benefits. If Obama legalizes MJ it will be in 2nd term; have 2 B re-elected 1st
Legalize it. I support it, my parents support it, my professors support it, it might be where I am in my life but I honestly do not know anyone at this time who does not support it. Legalize it and gain revenue and end the drug war.
accurately understood, prohibition is a tax of infinity
a small tax is a small prohibition
if you are arguing against prohibition, take it to the logical conclusion.
do you control what you put in your body or not? and do you have the right to engage in transactions to that end? who spends your money best, you or the coercive monopoly of force?
Most liberals as well as libertarians have known for decades that the "War on Drugs" is a complete WASTE of our tax dollars.
On the other hand, the VAST majority of modern-day (Reagan/Limbaugh) "conservatives" (90+% of the Republican Party) are STILL too blind to see. THEY are BIG government in this case.
I consider myself a moderate libertarian. Let the people be free to do what ever they want to their selves. But don't expect joe taxpayer to pick up the tab for their mistakes. Maybe if Meth users could see people Dieing in the street, We would not need a war against drugs.
Yeah, I suppose if it wasn't for pot Micheal Phelps would have won gold medals in archery and track and field, too. And maybe Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes would have won the US Open and Cy Young award if he weren't arrested for marijuana.
Ignorance is a miracle drug - your comment is proof that it "cures" intelligence - every time!
There is always a few exceptions to the rule. I do think that it might alter the way one thinks. When I was a user I always came up with what I thought was great ideas. Problem was I could never remember them.
Someone suffering from Anorexia could get the munchies if they smoked some weed. Marijuana is a miracle drug and a lot of products can come from the plant itself. We need common sense today and people who cling to the old stereotypes need to rethink their position.
Commercial hemp will end the depression world-wide, overnight.
Oil, plastic, cloth, food, and building blocks.
Don't hold your breath though, Obama and Holder have no intentions of legalizing it. DuPont, 3M, Shaw, Exxon, Chevron, et al. WILL NOT ALLOW their puppets to infringe on their monopolies.
I just don't believe that the DEA is gonna stop swat teaming growers and suppliers of medicinal pot. Obama and Holder are LIARS!!! It wouldn't suprise me if they are lying about this, too.
How many people are in jails and prison for pot? They just gonna let them out, too? What about all those people they busted before this decision? It's okay to do it now, but those in jail have to stay there because it wasn't okay then? Isn't that the OPPOSITE of justice?
Funny how people say that the money you can make from making cannabis legal is the driving point how about stopping all the thousands of murders that happen due to fighting over drug money and territories or all the millions of people that have had their lives ruined by being put in prison for using a natural plant. Nice to see where most peoples priorities are not saving lives but making money. Guess thats no surprise since greed what most people are addicted to not pot.

Nothing has changed bet you my left nut there will still be thousands going to prison over smoking a joint you will see.
Louis69 2 years ago
Although I think it's bad practice to bet off your testicles...
I think your somewhat incorrect.
Next year California will be voting to regulate and tax marijuana for those over 21 years old
The majority of Californians support the legalization of marijuana
Massachusetts decriminalized marijuana in 2008. In 2010 they will be voting on the legalization and regulation of marijuana
Technically, you won't go to prison for a joint. Unless your on probation for other offensives perhaps unrelated
