AMAZING!!! I've watched this show for years and this is my favorite pairing, Erika Slezak and Robin Strasser. The way they interact is like no other... They are both wonderful actresses.
Maybe the show wouldn't have gotten cancelled if it was still the powerhouse it was here. The stories were epic back then. If only it didn't have to go so dreadfully downhill. I miss the glory days of this show. Robin Strasser and Erika Slezak are dynamite together. There was nothing else like it on soaps.

I would count Dorian as a Lord. Mrs. Lord, I should say. But yeah, I have always wished that Victor had gotten Dorian pregnant with Victor Lord II. I think it would've been better than just killing him off immediately. I think it would've at least allowed the name Lord to go on....

I'd love to see the Viki/Dorian scenes when Dorian first got out of prison for the murder of Victor Lord. Viki had on bright red and Dorian had on bright blue. Dorian crashed some party and it was around 1994. I wish someone would post it.

This is ONE LIFE to me. Raw, heavy drama dealing with real brutul issues. GH was always about adventure and high octane characters and AMC was about family and acceptance whilst also dealing with social issues, it had more warmth... the disturbing storylines and characters without any 'warm glow' was always ONE LIFE, which is why it was my fave. It always went further.
Ya I agree. I especially love characters like Mitch Lawrence, because he's like inestialpedophillerapist. And Viki's heartattack. One Life To Live is way better than GH or AMC.
You are so right. Soaps use to have their own identities back in the day, remember? I lived for Y&R and OLTL as a kid because they were so different. Y&R moved at a snail's pace with character-driven realism while OLTL had campy plots and high drama.
Okay, help me out. I know it's confusing because the storyline changed over the years but why did Dorian want to leave town so badly? So she could escape the supposed murder charges - she seemed to have good reason to believe they wouldn't stick? Or because of Vickers' scam? And why (are we now supposed to believe) that Dorian kept silent about Viki's abuse for so long? Couldn't she recognize that that abuse was what 'caused' Niki Smith?
Dorian & David's scam permitted David to defraud the Lord estate by pretending that he was Victor Lord's son (who later turned out to be Todd). David had also produced evidence clearing Dorian in Victor's murder. The revelation that he was a fraud put that evidence in doubt.
As for the abuse, somewhere along the way the writers realized that people with DID are almost always the victims of sexual abuse. Dorian was necessary to bring knowledge of that abuse out into the open.
@heddalee I think Dorian didn't want to be the reason for completely breaking Viki. No love lost between the two. But I don't think she wanted to shatter the woman's psyche
I remember this fabulous storyline like it was yesterday. It was Dorians trial for murder trial and this storyline that made me a devoted One Life to Live fan. i was in highschool and quite ill when this storyline was on so it's great to have another chance to see it. Robin Strasser and Erica Slezak are brilliant.
i wasnt an oltl viewer in those days. i was so amazed..these women were and still wonderful. i dont know if i can go back to todays shows. i have never seen such amazin actin' i am just so so so...my god
I remember Robin Strasser saying that she didn't put her name in for the Supporting Actress Emmy. She said that Dorian would never play second fiddle to anyone, so she decided not to submit her name. She most certainly would have won in my opinion.

But Dorian didn't kill Victor. One of Viki's alters killed him! Of course both Victor and MItch were supposedly dead and came back in 1999.

That's true. I wish they had done that. Viki seems more like a Buchanan than anything. Although, I liked Joe Riley better.
