  • hey which board is the power supple inverter?

  • @shinyfuzzy Power supply inverter on this one is on the same board with the power supply, the board wit the power plug on it.

  • is that a Dimension 8400 in the background? they are known for bad caps too

  • @TOGA4808 I don't remember what model that dell was, I no longer have it, but the caps were good in it.

  • Do you know if it is possible to replace the power supply with a pc psu? are the connections standard 12v,5v, etc to the rest of the monitor? I only see one cable coming off the power supply, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Great vid, and any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks

  • @maymayday90 They aren't standard, some models use the same boards, but you need to match the model number on the power supply to replace it. Ebay normally has them.

  • I used this video to dissemble my monitor, I couldnt see anything wrong with the capitors, maybe a little residue on C825 but nothing as dramatic as yours. I was just thinking to just replace the entire board. Thoughts?

I believe it is the PS because there are no LEDs lit on the front and no response to the power button. thx

  • @DemandAZ by residue, do you mean stuff on the top of the capacitor?

  • @mjmcomputers

    yea

  • i think theres a rubber cap on the pluck thing 5:22

  • @ThePopularHits I don't see it?

  • Cool!

What problem did the leaking capacitors cause?

  • @AppleSouffle can cause from flickering of backlight and etc but not band issues

  • @AppleSouffle It wouldn't power on.

  • do you think i've to change capacitor in my monitor that turn on regularly but all screen is white.and with video signal in the monitor remain white but change a litle bit some column while i move on the screen a wiondow.. (i use clone monitor so in a good one a see qhat happens in the other.)

  • @djtonyxxx5 Could be, you would have to open it up to check it out.

  • @mjmcomputers yes was bad capacitors.

  • Look at Mosfet's they may need to be replaced to and a small glass fuse to.

  • thank you for your videos. The problem is i have replaced the capacitors in the power supply of a Samsung monitor (Power Board IP-35135B). I even replaced the ones that looked fine in case they couldn't hold up charge anymore. Still no success. Back light still doesn't lightup. I know for a fact its the power supply problem because i have tried it with a different known working one and the monitor lights up.

Do you have any solution? Could it be other problems such as transistors or coils?
