  • I helped to re-wild these at the Oregon Zoo. We got them from the Hamburg Zoo, and they were on the zoo grounds, without any enclosures. We carefully observed their behavior to monitor their survival skills. After a year, the pair was taken down to the State of Sao Paulo in Brazil. Within a year the female found herself a wild mate, and they had a baby. So having animals in captivity, can help to rehabilitate a wild population.

    It became a pest in some protected areas.

  • Sooo cute!! I had to go to the zoo and observe primates of my choice for a project...I love the golden lion tamarin!!! The ones I watched were so jumpy and cute!!!
