Saw TTID in August. They were so freaking awesome. I wished they had played for more then an hour. It was great, got to meet Steve before the show, what a great guy.

This band should've stopped after Sadness Will Prevail. That was the last interesting thing they did. I hope they will get back to the more old school style.

It's a straight forward metal album. 'Sadness Will Prevail' was more experimental than anything else in their catalogue.

But the thing with Axis of Eden for me is that it was just another metal album, nothing special to it. Just fast, straight forward, like you say. Kiss the Pig was also more into that direction. I just hope that the next album will have a bit more noise and experiments.

Deathcore is significantly more structured than grind, which is one of the main reasons that grind is fun to listen to. You don't know how the song is going to go. But with deathcore, it usually turns into riff, riff, breakdown, riff, breakdown. That song structure makes most deathcore bands sound close to radio friendly, if not for the lyrical content and death metal style vocals. Which isn't to say all Deathcore follows that, the last Leng Tche album was pretty much deathcore, and ruled.

Ive done a schoolproject with over 80 pages and that was about black and death metal and comparing them to eachother because they sound the same to the untrained ear. Mercyful Fate has inspired black metal bands with their paint and image and that is about it (same with King Diamond) do u call him black metal as well?

How can you say he's a shitty singer? There are no quideliness for "The One and Only Guttural Screams and Shouts," as far as I know. His voice is actually what really got me to this band, listen to In The Eyes of God album - it has a lot of Satan references, but instead of sounding like a typical black/death metal singer he sounds genuinely insane and, to me, more believeable.
I understand that not everyone can like his voice but you can't say he's shitty.

Ey, I love TITD and the album in the eyes of god is what got me heavily interested in them (partially because of the noise layered vocals...just amazing!). But to be fair, to say "if you don't like it, stfu" is a bit extreme. I would like to hear constructive criticism but I don't want to start anything that inhibits the freedom of speech for anyone. Just be constructive instead of spouting "singer sucks, xyzxyz is better". Its a waste of time even reading that empty shit.

@RPGclub i really doubt they make much money if their video has under 100,000 views. i agree music is music and should be enjoyed but this is deffinatley not a money making band. they probably make shit and spend it on drugs.

its very hard to explain to you why is this but i guess the reason is that metal is now losing its way becuse of genres like dethcore and metalcore.alot copy of off other real metal bands,most dont known the meaning of creativity,others have a boring repitive sound thats the same as usually in every song and thats usually if the band is dethcore or christian metalcore.also bands post up ghetto looks like emmure and winds of plague which is just like there videos.and its nothing but emo kids now.

i guess deathcore was an interesting idea but with all these bands realising that nu metals dead they need a new genre to milk and deathcore had become overused and repetitive in my opinion grindcore, sludge etc. is where the metals coming from at the moment aong with kiwi metal bands like Bloodletting and 8 Foot Sativa

Well at the very least, they should have some creative spirit.
OF COURSE Deathcore/Metalcore can water down bands from their respective genres. When the ripoffs get popular, some people in the original genres who are money hungry go "oh man thats how you make money and shit? allright lets do it!"
In the end, it just is a poison that should never have existed. Deathcore/Metalcore take all of the most accessible aspects of genres and roll em up into a packageable ball of crap.

Deathcore is significantly more structured than grind, which is one of the main reasons that grind is fun to listen to. You don't know how the song is going to go. But with deathcore, it usually turns into riff, riff, breakdown, riff, breakdown. That song structure makes most deathcore bands sound close to radio friendly, if not for the lyrical content and death metal style vocals. Which isn't to say all Deathcore follows that, the last Leng Tche album was pretty much deathcore, and ruled.

Ive done a schoolproject with over 80 pages and that was about black and death metal and comparing them to eachother because they sound the same to the untrained ear. Mercyful Fate has inspired black metal bands with their paint and image and that is about it (same with King Diamond) do u call him black metal as well?

How can you say he's a shitty singer? There are no quideliness for "The One and Only Guttural Screams and Shouts," as far as I know. His voice is actually what really got me to this band, listen to In The Eyes of God album - it has a lot of Satan references, but instead of sounding like a typical black/death metal singer he sounds genuinely insane and, to me, more believeable.
I understand that not everyone can like his voice but you can't say he's shitty.
