  • [you]:4 the low low price of just under a thousand dollars.

    [me]:.........not happening..........lol

  • Kevin where r u!! Hahaha

  • Now all I need is friends to play it with ;-;

  • You do not know what I would give to have a mod of this game where you can just play 4 people with the controllers. I loved playing this with my friend, but she always thought it was a hassle to do the GBA thing...

  • words cant describe how bad i want to do this xD

  • At this point is the wavebird necessary? couldn't you use regular GC controllers?

  • crazy shit!but it must be working with normal control pads, too

  • OH wow, I SOOO want this game for the new Stream (Wii2)! I think the game is going to be awesome if they are willing to develope it well!

  • Also, to the people saying it's expensive, it isn't as much when you have friends who are already gamers. Chances are they all also have gamecubes and all also have tvs. XD It'd take work to move everything to one place, but that's free. The only real expense would otherwise be the gamecube/GBA cords and the gamecube GBA player if you don't already have those. The GBA player is worth something on its own if you don't have a GBA and/or play a lot of GBA games. So... Win/Win?

  • This is exactly how I did this on my 18th bday lol owo

  • lol that's awesomeee...but it seems like too much work XD

  • @shubibinman can you use regular controllers in the gamecubes or do you have to use wavebirds?

  • too bad i didnt see this video before because it got cramped in my room from everybody so close to the tv....

but anyways thats so awesome :p

  • Oh....oh my gosh. OH MY GOSH. This is amazing! How did you figure that this would work?! It's simply genius! I'm going to have to start saving money just to do this now. :D Thank you, bet this is much better than using our old GB advances.

  • Dude thats genius. The game is totally awesome in multiplayer isn't it?

  • @MrFranciscoFidalgo Totally! It's actually one of my favorite games for the gamecube! It's a shame they(Square) never gave it an online (MMO) Sequel that it deserves.....

  • the "OOOoooh and it's possible"-part is rather epic

  • Theres a cable that connects to the wii and gba?!

  • Oh my gosh, that's so funny! I would love this setup.

  • wow...that is alot of wires that is pretty cool loking but i think i'll stick to my GBA and SP lol 5/5

  • dang got like 2 of my friends playin this, n we need a 4th person lols

  • spending a thousand dollars for ffcc is not worth it even if its a really cool game.

  • Thats freakin awsome dude!

  • Hahaha, that's pretty intense. Maybe not worth the trouble, but it is still really interesting to see it having been done. Besides, that setup looks pretty bad ass in there with all those systems and TVs going.

  • thts awesome

  • Dude that was a awesome tutorial! O:) thank you so much!! Also can I have a wired controller instead of a wireless? Plz answer!! It is not so much money when you have a Wii, 2 Gamecubes, and 3 GBA Cables! Also you don't HAVE to have three more T.V.s, if you have a PC Or Mac, (I have A Macbook), then have A/V output cables to plug into mac or PC and hook up with A/V cables from Gamecube, and Voila!!

  • thats awesome, but so expensive. its kind of a hassle to get all four gba's and cables, let alone four tv's, 4 gamecubes, 4 cables, and 4 game boy players lol.

still, awesome video. I have a group of friends I still it with occasionally. its a great game

  • Nice... but what's the point when you can play it with only 1 gamecube/wii/tv paying way less on GBAs?

  • Geez, so many cables. It looks like sooner or later the consoles will explode.

  • wooooow lol

  • That's pretty awesome but it a bit pricy to do that.

  • What the fuck? How retarded is that?

What is the pratical advantage of substituting Four GBAs with 5 Gamecubes (or 4 and 1 Wii), 5 TV's etc... ?

  • If you edited it, and wanted clearer footage of what was going on, you can film them all at the same time with different cameras, then edit them in without having to hover the camera over the controller of the player.

  • For Machinima purposes you mean? I doubt anyone would need to film the stats screens :P

  • You never know! It's too late right now anyways with TWO new games out.

  • That would suck up a lot of money :o not only because you have to pay for the gamecubes and all this.

  • how do you get more people in your party on multiplayer mode?i only have one character in my party everytime i play.can anyone help?

  • never mind i was looking at the wrong video....(i was looking for ring of fates)

  • You just make another character in your party menu.

  • what r wavers??

  • its actualy called a wavebird and it is the wireless controler for the gamecube.

  • @SaLoMe905 wave birds* it's the name of nintendo's wireless gamecube controllers.

  • thats WAY too much trouble. just use GBA:SP's :/

  • when i want to play with ONE friend , do i need one or two gbas? can i play wit ha controller and the other one with gba?

  • u would need too gbas

  • thats shit.i dont have gbas and i don't want to buy 2 of them so that i can play with my friend...

    it's stupid

  • ikr i dont want to buy another gba or sp

  • aver cuando la ponennn muchachosss!! =)

  • It is possible... but first I have to buy a house with a bigger living room just to put all that stuff you are using.

  • but you have a wii

not a normal Gamecube where you can use Wavebirds into the gamecube

  • Cool let me bring my memory card with my high STR and DEF weak MAG clavat to play with you guys =D

    nah im just joking lol

  • their ultimate weapons suck its just a re-make of the iron weapons the only good thing is it stuns them every hit. To get a plan you need to get your family to love you(or just your dad,(Alchemist class) and talk to him every year until it cycles through everything you get till the plans you want a merchant father the same way till you can buy something called "Ultimate" then have a blacksmith father the same way also so he can make it, find the other items for the plans then BAM ultimate weapon

  • whats the name of those attachments under the gc and where can i get one

  • Do you need the game for gba also?

  • now,... if i only had 4 friends that like final fantasy >.> oh yeah.. i lost my friends playing ffxi

  • i need some help on this game, me and my friends are trying to get the best weapons and armor in the game, my character is an alchemist and i know that i have to be one in order to get them, i just need to know what im supposed to do inorder to get the designs

  • Cool if your rich then do this

  • or you use emulators, four gba emulators, and a gc emulator. much easyer.

  • And free.

  • this looks like such a hassle

  • it's not worth it, as cool as it is it's just too much trouble

  • hey, thats pretty cool and all... but it still infuriates me to know they never included normal local multiplayer... hmm... i wonder if theres a action replay code for it?

  • I didn't know this, this is one of the most awesome things i've ever seen. i wish i had that many set-ups and stuff. its good to know that these things can actually happen.

  • OMFG!!!

WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THIS!!

DUDE YOU ARE A GENIUS FOR USING THIS METHOD!!!

Im going to try it out now with my things and see if it works!

im only missing an extra TV though LOL

  • Theres 1000 wires and $1000 to play a game is not worth it. :]

  • well, now gamecubes can be found at local gameshops for $20-30 and the game is a $20 or less title, along with cables and gameboy players, I bet you could complete this set up for under $200.

Which of course is totally worth it!!

    LOL

  • eerrr what about the little tv's?

  • but dude this is still awesome can you do this with four swords

  • rather use gbas one gamecube

  • OMFG GEEKS INVADER!!!

  • yuck... came to watch the game, not you talking ò_Ó

  • I lost my gameboy player disc.... :(

  • yea i would still prefer using game boys....but this idea is still prettycool

  • What is a Wave Bird?

  • It's pretty pointless to play like this with all the extra wires, xD but it's interesting nonetheless. If you can't find your SP charger...

  • ;_; i wish my friends were had there SP's but noooo they sold them for the DS i was the only one who kept my GBA SP and GBA man this bites

  • Nice setup though you went seriously overboard. I'll have to pick up that game though. I've got 2 gamecubes (soon to be 5) and 2 wavebirds but no WII. I imagine you could use a Gamecube instead of the WII as the main box they all plug into.

  • y go thru the hassle XD and i much perfer echoes of time over cc gamecube @___@

  • JEsus. Why couldnt they just make this game multiplayer without all this added nonsense of hooking up GBAs?

  • ...Talk about disposable income.

...Know how Nintendo's rerelasing some fo the GCN Software as Wii software?

I wanna see them do that with FFCC.

It'll probably need 4 DS systems to run...

Prolly be easier to play it on the DS outright, make some system to auto-follow the Chalice in Multi-mode.

  • Nice. I thought of trying that, I just never had friends with enough space so that we could all do it.

Now though, I'm hooked on playing the DS FFCC. XD back to the old lvl grind.

  • NVM what i asked XD

  • what wavebirds D:

  • ...LOL sorry i thought this was gonna be some trick to avoid the gameboy-gamecube link altogether... "for the low cost of about 1000 dollars" lol...

  • That's pretty badass

  • PLS can someone tell me how to get material called "dragon's fang" for my lilties hero's weapon. I have tryed everything to get it but none of enemies gives it to me...

  • It's a boss drop dude. You can only get it if you're doing multiplayer with with at least another person or more. The ranking system does matter on what items you get, the higher the rank of ALL players, the better the items. So play to everyone's advantage, not just your own. Besides, you can go to a town and trade items with friends later.

  • I haven't played in a while but I was able to get my lilty's legendary weapon on one player.

  • I wish my friends were interested in playing this game with me...it's so much fun with 4 people...

where do you guys live? :(

  • lol, central wisconsin....ugh!!

  • they have this game in stock at gamestop for gamecube should i buy it?

  • yes

  • yes yes yes

  • this game was THE BEST, i remember my friends and I going to each others houses working on beating it. We kinda gave up and started plaing Gauntlet soon after which was another awesome game.

  • FFCC > Gauntlet.

Get back with your buddy's and finish it!!

  • Nice how did you find that out

  • Just tried it. Technically I first tried it with PacMan Vs. And we used two TV's so the player playing pacman had a nice large TV to play on too.

Then I was like!!!! WOAH!! o.O lets Chronicle using 5 TV's!!!

  • Does it work with the DS because buying a lot of gba and to find some it will be hard

  • it wont work with the DS... ive tryed.... i would just get the sequel.

FInal Fantasy Christal chronicles: Echos of Time on the DS or wii it comes out for both systems on Mar. 24

  • Echoes of Time has failed it though. You can play multiplayer but it isn't the same system where the main action is on the big screen and the individual GBAs showed the stats.

  • Why would anyone do that? Just getting sp's would be way cheaper...

  • Dude... I'm going to try that!...

  • lol, nice

  • can you use gamecube controllers to play this game

  • yes sir, wavebird controllers are just wireless GameCube controllers....

  • umm i think the biggest complaints about using the sp the inconvenience but wat u just did probably was way more of a hassle and cost more money. nobody has ALL the things you have in this video. kudos for the video tho. i personally find it a bit superflous.

  • does it have to be wireless controllers?

  • can u use a ds to connect to the gamecube?

  • that would have ben nice, but Nintendouche and their incompatability issues prevented that from happining.... would have kicked ass too......

  • please show us how to do it ( ill suscribe you)

  • thats kind of what this video does already doesn't it?? or do you want a more in depth look at how to do it??

  • as if you'd go through all that effort just to play a game...

  • Every time mate!

  • 1)you dont really need wavebirds.

2)this was possible because the gcn's are used with the gba players to emulate the system.

3)who would do this? gbas with link cables is cheaper and less messy than what you guys just did.

  • Damn that's hardcore! I wish I had friends like you guys to play with ;_; * cries in the corner *

  • hahaha this is sick but like too intense for me

hahaha at the low cost of like 1000 dollars hahahahaha

  • lol u look like alot of old people with nothing better to do nerds XP

  • YESSS!!!!

  • Why you didnt make a little walktrough for youtube??

  • hmmmm...now if my friends and i only had 2 more GCs and 3 of those controllers....

  • "Daddy, what happens if you fall out of the circle?"

    "You start to take damage"

    "oh...."

    "Yeah, not fun"

    LOL...

  • I've ALWAYS wanted to play this game but man.....thats too much stuff for one game.

So to play multiplayer, they had to bring 3 gamecubes? Yikes..

  • no they didnt have to... they just needed one controller and 3 gba that have the gc thingy hooked up...that's it. they made it look complicated which it isnt. other than that it was a unique way of playing multiplayer on it though.

  • Nice set up but it must be killer on your electric bill.

  • NERD

  • his electric bill must be insane!!!!!!!!!

  • that's overkill :D

    but it's awesome

  • rofl

  • holy **** when his big head popped up i jump out of my seat!

  • lol...That happened to me too

  • So many wires! Crazy!!

  • thats rather an interesting setup ya got there. though i think you should have mentioned the fact that this can be done with wavebird, and regular wired controllers, though seeing the layout of the room as it was, i could see the reason for using wavebirds

  • i thought u need gba to do that o_o my head hurts oo

  • to do mutiplayer you need someone else with a ds and the game you have to be together

  • Yeah, you're definitely thinking of FFCC: Ring of Fates. This is the original FFCC for Gamecube. Not the same game.

  • I tought you needed GBAs to play not GC controlers.

    * sees 3 GCs & 3GBA players. *

    Oh Gawd...

  • I can't really say I would spend that much money just for that purpose. But for people who already have all the equipment, this is pretty much a perfect setup.

That being said, I'm glad to have found this. My friend and I have file that we play all the time and my brother wants in. Unfortunately, we're an SP short, but now rather than buying an SP, we can just get a Gameboy Player--we already have everything else. XD

  • i rather i buy 4 sp then 3 gamecubes LOL this game crazy fun with multi player and its harder multi player. :D

  • game's not that good... it's just really fun multiplayer... singel player sucks

  • I remember wanting to do this back when all this came out, because I had a few cables from getting one for Animal Crossing, then getting it free with this and Four Swords. I explained it to a friend that we'd be able to achieve four player with my GameCube and GBA and his GameCube and GBA.

But he was all, no no no, the GBA player doesn't have the flash memory to load the maps and stuff. He was totally sure enough to not want to even test it, so I believed him. :/

  • You need all the gamecubes to have FFCC in it?

  • only in multiplayer

  • You know it might actually be cheaper NOW to buy the GBA SPs and cables (and obviously the game). But it's funny after seeing this vid, that you'd think more people would have thought of this before the Wii even came out.

  • And you really need ALL those things to play multiplayer? In all versions or only in NTSC?

  • Not really. This is just a fancy way to play without wires and have your own TV screen. You only need a link cable and an SP.

  • question!!! can I use nintendo ds? and if so, do i still need the cable things?

  • Nope DS' won't work.

And yes you will need the cables regardless....

    :)~

  • Hey, Thanks! btw, do you NEED extra T.Vs for this?

  • Only if you NEED to see your items, spells, and Maps!!

  • oh DUH! lol forgot about that, thanks.

  • dude i just tried this and despite my other comment it was really awsome playing with the wavebirds though it did cost me alot but still it was easyer to play thanks for posting this.

  • lol, thanks for the comments!!

  • hey np im suprised i said thanks to someone.

  • very nice. i will have try it now.

  • You move the camera around wayyy to much. Focus on keeping it more steady next time.

  • I will do my best!! Do I get any better in some of my newer videos?

    Thanks for the comment!

  • yo i watched the order of the griffon video and thankfully this time you were able to keep the camera on the screen (that is when it was real life). Your doing better. Now why don't you check out some of my vids?

  • You don't necessarily need a Wavebird. This works with any GC controller. :p

  • GAWD so much work just too play multiplayer on a final fantasy game

  • if i had all the equipment it would be cool, get some of my friends round and play

  • Oh great, instead of bying a gameboy and a cable, all you need to do is buy a wii, some gamecubes, a gameboy player and some controllers. Wonderful. @_@

  • rofl yeah if you dont have the gamecubes or the gameboy players it isnt really worth it, thats awesome tho!!!!!

  • btw who's kevin>?

  • He is the most undumbesting person on earth. Half a Man, half a Mazing.

  • lol he's a Mazing? wow thats impressive...

  • Haha one of the best gamers ever! Why do you ask? Because of everyone's built up frustration that you can hear when you hear his name 5 maybe 6 times in this vid?? lol@kevin

  • you said '' u start to take dammage'' ''ooh''

after did u say '' its not funny''?

  • haha its cute how you talk to your son XD

  • I tried it today, it was awesome. No more painful fingers from holding the tiny SP. Yay!!!

Plus it's helpful cause everyone can see your "personal" radar.

  • exactly!!!

    You rule!!

  • now all i need is 2 more gamecubes,3 more tvs,

that connector for the game cubes and

    4 game boy/gamecube things lol

  • Oh my god... I never knew you could do this! X3

    That is so awesome.

Now I must get another TV and a gamecube gameboy player. ;O

  • How many inches is ur TV?

  • U can also unplug ur gba link cable and plug in a controller, you just wont be able to access the menu.
