@hardestband Because the files somehow use each other. I'm not exactly sure, but there is some kind of crazy link between the 2. It is also the reason my crosshair is super tiny. I would have needed to play it on a computer that didn't contain any of the updated files for Portal for it to be the 'pure' old version.

But I meant the TAS runs where the whole thing is recorded with the game slowed way down to the point they have like 5-10 seconds to react, prepare, and perform in what would normally take a split second, then speed it up, or save states are edited out so that it looks smooth.

Doing that for practice, until you know it by muscle memory and doing it at FULL speed is admirable, of course. And these guys get my respect.

The hopping and crouch jumping began with HL. It then ended with kreedz jumping maps in CS 1.6. Bunny hopping used to be harder.
