i can find no footage of an american family from old pbs show...lance and his whole family..first real reality show..a rerun now would be such a hit..and the most accurate view into those times..anybody know if footage is available???
I have the entire series, it took me years to track them down. I used to have some clips from it posted to YouTube, and Ill repost them again one of these days. In the meantime, you can find more information about the show on my Subterranean Cinema site. :)
Hmmm...not really--he never did drag or even created another "persona." Or, maybe I misunderstood what you meant. I was just listening to the Mumps cd a few days ago. I'd forgotten how wonderful it was. A lot of the tunes really hold up well. I don't know how much you know about Lance, but try to find the longish article he wrote for either Out or the Advocate as he was dying. It's surprisingly frank, moving and deep, especially considering he always tried to seem the opposite in public.
Didn't he write for local NYC rags too?
