  • Thanks for all these videos man Im going for my yellow belt this friday, I think I'll do good, Ive been training very hard and all these tutorials you provide have helped me a lot, I can see the difference between the others and me, I tell them to do these exercise but they are just too lazy I guess, or arent that into TKD like me. I just love it and feel so good practicing it and making it part of my life, even if Im just starting out. So thanks again for taking the time to make these videos!!!

  • name of the kick at 0:14-0:16?

  • @MrEran1996 Face destruction kick

  • Koles kopie słabo. Źle przemieszcza się na nogach. Nie ma 'feelingu'... Zamiast pajacować powinien po prostu trenować... A nóżki na jak "panienka". Po jednym wejściu połamał bym je obydwie. Bez przenośni...

  • I have been following your video tutorials for the last 5-6 months. Appreciate the entire explanation and break up of the techniques. Thanks and looking forward to the future videos.

  • @kwonkicker I was told that the proper way to do squats is that when you crouch down your knees should stay below the top of your feet. Is it good for your back when your knees go over the top of your feet?

  • good video! best wishes!

  • Hi Kwonkicker! Will we be seeing the jumping drills video anytime soon? :))

  • Excellent Video

    Richard Holdstock Sensei

  • Thanks man, ive been stretching for about a month now. and im trying to get high kicks . should i fit in strength training with flexibility/stretching or do one then start the other ? thanks.

  • shake muscles :))

  • I am trainig Karate but there are a lot of useful things in every of your video and yea i learned that tornado kick its awesome , still have to practice it but its almost done

  • My favorite lower body exercise is sex

  • @mmaninjitsu wehh

  • Oh I was wondering, a guy who jumps higher than you isn't always one who kicks harder right? My bro and I are both second degree blackbelts, relatively the same height. We've both been kicking for eight years, he was always the higher jumper but my kicks always made the harder impact. But by no means were his kicks weak even though they weren't as strong as mine. And even though I didn't quite get his vertical, I was still a high jumper. Is there any science behind this?

  • @CrossGhost87 I am not too much of a science guy, but from what I've read through magazines, here is a possible explanation:

You and your brother, if you both have the same level of strength, it is in different areas. Your brother has more general lower body strength, from the lower back all the way down. Kicking strength doesn't rely as much on the lower back, as it would from the hips down. You probably just have stronger hips, and he has a stronger lower back than you.

  • dude ur tutorials are awsome

  • Hey Kwonkicker,

I'm interested in seriously learning Tae Kwon Do. Do you know of any good schools around the 90220 area??

  • I've seen some of your videos and you sure have some skills. Why don't you join a club or sth and then get yourself to some competition coz you could kick some ass in the ring

  • it's like you're jumping with a rope there ;)

  • Hey Kwonkicker, you were sniffing in this tutorial. Are you feeling okay? Take care of yourself now you hear? Otherwise, thank you for the tutorial, it helps me a lot!

    :D

  • @bloodlime16 It was just extremely cold in there. Somewhere between 20F-30F.

  • @kwonkicker HEY i was wondering could i incorprate leg weights would that have a positive effect or would it be putting too much strain on the legs

  • @kwonkicker hey have you ever considered doing a tutorial for self defense

  • @kwonkicker cool!? it is preferable to train under cool weather conditions, but right then must be freezing cold huh? thanks for tutorials, great help!

  • @kwonkicker

    i wondered..

i've practiced abit of Kyokushin (till orange belt with 1 stripe)

and im 1.92 meters tall, and quite a ... heavy weight xD

im thinking about start doing some TKD?

    - i've got a few too short mucles tho :S but i can still kick 1.92 meter's with a basic front kick ^^

  • are you going to do a hipping tutorial?

  • hi mate nice vid i have too posted a vid of myself come and check it out leave a comment on the vid of what you thought and dont forget to pass it on to other people every one is welcome thanks and cheers

  • Hey Kwonkicker, I have a question. I dont know if this was just something my teacher did, but once you reached your red belt, he had you start learning hapkido as well. If you have trained in this branch, is there any way you can upload some videos of tutorials? Im recovering from a knee injury and my teacher moved away and i have forgot alot of the steps for hapkido. Love the videos. Keep them coming Please!

  • Are these ideal as a warm-up exercises too? Or should these be done after warm-ups and leg stretches?

  • i've been in TKD for about 4 years now and i'm just NOW starting to really feel flexible and stronger. soo any of you that arent getting results, just be patient and stick with it. it'll come

  • what if I do these routines everyday, would I still be able to see results? thnx

  • @japcabildo that would be overdoing it, as he says multiple times, your muscles need proper rest and recovery time. And he says just 2 times a week.

  • what if I do these routines everyday, would I still be able to see results? thnx

  • By far the best explanatory and didactic videos on martial arts in the whole of youtube.

    Great job!

  • Great video! Thanks a lot for the upload!

  • Excellent.. Back to TKD after many years and sincerely enjoying this..

My only issue is knees now: anyway to strengthen those joints pl? Thx vm

  • hey just curious, whats your favourite kick?

  • Great video man, going back to training after a few months off, you just gave me that fire back ;)

  • nice vids

  • excellent!

  • Thank you ...!.!.!

  • yes , really works for my free running ;) thank you

  • great videos man, so follow master. I'm from Argentina and my language is bad enough (but I have called Google translator xD) =/ I'm practicing Taekwondo, I really like and this helps me =D luck hug friend

  • can you post one for punches and knees to get a full workout please? it would be really usefull for kickboxing and muay thai , thank you!

  • @hdpasd123lol The previous tutorial was primarily for balance, but it also works the hips and gluts. That will help improve your knee strikes. You should be able to see the video in the related videos to the right under "Taekwondo Basic Balance Drills". As for upper body & core training, I will do one for that as well.

  • @kwonkicker While your at it, could you please make a vid for spinning type techniques? I don't really mean the actual hits, more like these drills....things that we could practice to help with spinning speed, balance, and target acquisition. If you don't have the time its no big deal but I would very much appreciate it.

As always thanks for the hard work and time in helping us develop ourselves. You rock!

  • @kwonkicker Upper Body, and Core Body Please?

  • Comment removed

  • @kwonkicker Hey bro can you list down all the excercise for this Lower Body Strength Drills ? I need to know so I can do the excercise again and again

  • I HATE THAT DUCK WALK! I understand the importance... but its torture...lol

  • thank you kwon i needed this

  • I have been waiting for this. Thanks!

  • 6:40 ...Spiderman!!!!

  • Very good stuff! Thanks for posting!

  • @shortcutcliffe it's to let out air, fighters get winded and tired fast, only the good once last a long time and need to exhail when they punch or kick, hence bruce lee's HIYAH, or any warriors or fighters you see screaming when they smack something. Also adds a little power to what you're doing

  • I can't extend the foot in front kick like that. . . My knee is still killing me ;(

  • @marintoss Like I said in the video, it takes considerable lower body strength. If you don't have the strength, your thigh muscles will cramp up almost instantly.

  • @kwonkicker I can extend my foot and hold it for 20-30 seconds but not that high. This exercises can help me improve in that direction? I can lift pretty high as a side/round kick but front kick is different. . . I can do front splits and I can't do side splits, but I can lift more in sides then in front... Damn. .. Anyways awesome as usual ! :D

  • very useful thanls

  • ur gloves are so cool

  • @khairuleven they're just hand wraps

  • Thanx for the vid!

  • And I thought Bruce Lee was good...

  • Hey kwonkicker, like the vid. Do you use any weights in your training?

  • bravo!

  • it's good to use a jump rope for calves

  • I've been practising mizu ryu jujitsu in italy, and i've been follow you for a long time cause I love kicks and your tutorials are very very useful

    thanks

  • nice, another great video, drills and details

    thanks for your time

  • Very good video again from Kwonkicker! It is so great that he has this helping intention. Thanks thanks you are great...I am doing Muay Thai but these exercises are great for MT practicioners, too!!!! Actually we do many of these in class!Thumbs up for Kwonkicker:-)))

  • so these are the strength drills that works the hips right?

  • @fightlover187 mmm maybe, there are not for the hips, the drills help u to get strength for lift your leg, u need various points to do a good technique, two of those are flexability ("hips") and strength to lift your leg

    btw its only my opinion

  • @Kahizumi well you could be right, those exercises he was doing do like like it requires strength to lift the leg, but other than that i think im going yo start doing them

  • Excellent exercises for any kicking based martial art. Great video :)

  • Genius.

  • your amazing dood !! keep making videos dood!!!

  • Years ago I left ITF Taekwon-do out of favor for Muay Thai. I was appalled by the lack of practicality in the art. However watching Kwon Kicker has given me a new level of respect towards Taekwon-do practitioners. I have begun to incorporate what I have learnt from my years of Taekwon-do into my Muay Thai with fantastic results in my sparring.

Kwon kicker needs to write a book on practical drill work and stretching as well as kicking technique. =D
