Digital Painting: Basic Color for your Sketches

Okay, but I still don't understand what is the purpose of putting the BG layer on 'multiply'?? So is there another method you can use for coloring? Maybe without the 'multiply' method? Cool video by the way. :-)

did you lower the colours opactiy to keep the pencil lines vissible? or did you just change the layer options?

I'm actually adding annotations to the video right now - sometime today im going to make a similar tutorial with audio to make it more, well, better. And no, the color opacity is the same, the color layer is below the sketch layer, and the sketch layer blending mode is called "Multiply". You'll see it in the annotations guide, and i'll make another video today with audio to explain the steps more clearly.

ah yeah, ofcourse... silly me, i havent coloured one of my drawings for a really long time, and i simply forgot it ^^ i'm more the type of guy who likes to make signatures in photoshop :P but still, thanks for clearing it out :D
