@JammasterGoat -- the catch was.....The National didn't want the music video to be just about Portal 2....unfortunately......everyh­ting anyone did was about Portal 2. The sock puppet one didn't really show much about Portal 2 in any way so it one, because the music video was meant to show the emotion the song expresses.....I don't really see how a sock puppet had any meaning but it apparently did. THE END

Eh, both 1st and 2nd place got what they deserved. The 1st place winner was chosen by the actual band, and won in the band's eyes, not the portal peeps, so he was awarded a signed guitar by the BAND etc, while the 2nd place winner which was a portal fan, won tons of signed portal 2 gear and memorabelia, by the VALVE team. So i believe both victors got what they deserved.

It should of got more recognition from valve :/ The other winner with the animated vid was excellent too.. but for me this one is much better in the sense that it captures the emotion of the song, timed well with the video.
