I don't get the so called "diehard fans" who think this is a step back to their older material. Have you heard the new album? Its a progression and sounds more Crimson than anything else. Lead Poisoning is possibly the best song they've done in years, Agony & Irony is awesome, get over it - Godamnit, however great, won't be coming back. The band continue to write great records and while I agree that the lyrics sound a bit less heartfelt in delivery they were written from the heart I assure you!

It sounds like their old stuff, which is a plus, but its not as, I don't know, heartfelt? Its not as emotional as their earlier stuff. Like in their early stuff when he said "I've got a big fucking bone to pick" or when he said "In case you haven't heard I'm sick" his voice actually cracked, you believed him. Or in Clavicle when he said "I've called you twice" and his voice sounded sad.. I don't know, they just used to feel more real, or at least Matt felt more real. To me.
