Hey, you know that you can install themes from the rockbox website and make it look alot nicer than just text? you can also get icons for the menu navigation. It really makes rockbox much better. Check it out

Yeah, I agreed.. Ipod's were not designed to be full on video game playing pieces of hardware. Ipod is mostly for music and videos, and quite honestly that's the reason I bought it (just the though of 60 gigs of music made me want to sneeze my pants). Did you follow the tutorial that is also found on youtube? I use that to get to the ipodlinux site and get the directions for putting linux on but when I have to dissconnect it (and it should restart into linux) i get a screen telling me to reconncet the ipod to itunes to recover. and then I end up re-joining my laptop and ipod. Any and all help please

Well, you are probably trying to install linux with to new of a firmware. They patch linux installation in update 1.2 and that's why you're getting that error. Look into firmware downgrading.

Yeah man, for a 5th gen, you have to boot in linux and do all sorts of manuel formatting... There is no linux installer for 5th gens, only nanos and stuff.

It has to be in MP4 format, short for MPEG4. It is VERY hard to find videos already in the format. I use "PQ DVD to IPOD converter" .
