Facts # 2 and #3 - Arabs are famous for blaming others (Jews and the West) for the bad, and taking credit for others' good, for example the concept of "zero" which was an Indian concept. Certainly not a Muslim concept.

2). Most, if not all Arabs an Muslims, blame the lack of current scientific development on the stagnation of our countries due to despots.
3). The Arabs did an enormous amount of work in sciences, maths, humanities, etc. The first sociologist was, in fact, an Arab named Ibn Khaldun who also pioneered works in Economics, History, Anthropology and Math. The concept of zero was actually refined by Arabs.

Islam is perceived as an ideology which seeks to dominate, and in that sense does not follow the definition of religion (Latin re and ligio - linking back). This is a lesson for all religions, BTW.

Getting back on topic, you're in error in saying that Obama is "twisting NASA's purpose into a political agenda that it was NOT created for". NASA's mission statement is "To improve life here, to extend life to there, to find life beyond.". Their motto is "For the benefit of all".

Onto NASA's mission statement. Just because it says "to improve life here" does not give it carte blanche to embark on any political or cultural crusade that could possibly be interpreted as "improving life." NASA is an agency of the United States government responsible for aviation and spaceflight. It's mission statement was obviously intended to be interpreted within that context, you moron.

I'm not worried about being hurt by muslim militants anymore than I am worried about being assaulted by a random meth addict, or being struck by lightning, or being struck by a drunk driver, since all those things are far more likely to happen to the average American than a terrorist attack. Yet while these things do worry me, I don't propose to launch a war to eliminate automobiles or alcohol, or to turn a continent over to quell my own irrational fears.
