  • All of their home movies were transferred to VHS in the 1980s. I transferred parts of them and edited them on my computer in the past 5 years or so. The movies have been destroyed but the VHS's are holding up well enough.

    Most of the segments transferred to the third VHS I found (this one is from the first two) weren't corrected for speed and appear sped up (and aren't as sharp or well-shot.)

    There are lots of places that will transfer film to video/DVD.

  • If you import it into iMovie or Windows Movie maker you can slow it down.
