Building Empires tour has no peer, never will. A quote from Tate in the local paper said they planned to "mess with our minds." They succeeded in the best way.
Dont accuse my opinion but I seem to like a lot more Degarmo-Wilton than any other great guitar duo in metal. For Example Murray- Smith are less good . Its amazing how they ft together . Fantastic guitars

There is no evaluating this band... They were the cream of the crop hands down.. I seen them in 91 Tulsa Ok... The Empire tour but as a surprise they did every song from the Mindcrime tour in order before starting Empire... I will remember this until they day they bury me... I had a backstage pass from a local catering service my wife worked for. I still have all the pics...... Thank You Queensryche!!

Saw them on the Rage tour in San Diego, twice on Mindcrime, twice for Empire, again with Maiden/Halford in 2000, and lastly, twice in the last couple of years with Dokken at HOB. Not once was I ever let down.
Where did this come from, it appears to be from the Building Empires tour. Loved that show and have always wanted a video of the whole concert, not just the Mindcrime portion.
What's really makes this band stand out (besides everything) is the rHythm section, probably one of the most underrated pair in rock. Just listen to the bass and drums work together! AWESOME!

@hvislysettaros2010 they released and toured on a great cd called 'american soldier'. great tunes on there, you tube 'man down' or 'at 30000 feet' from it. theyve been going non stop since they started. some stinkers in the the middle but coming full circle with the next cd being a cross between 'rage for order' and empire. theyre working on it now i think with producer jason slater. hes co-writing it probably. Im interested to know what you think of the 2 songs i mentioned. get back to me. c ya

To me and my friends, it just looked like kiss was just out to make money, not really interested in playing too many songs, leaving it up to the new group at that time in 85. Now I see Gene trying to cash in on magazines, tv, reality shows, etc, damn how much money do you need?

He's a pilot. He had to choose either beign a rock star or trying to become a pilot and he chose pilot. I think for the album tribe he did studio work with the band and he did like 1 live performance in Seattle iirc.

It has BEEN 23 YEARS and I still LOVE this band! I saw them twice in 1990, and again in 94. Nothing compares to the Operation Mindcrime Album! NOTHING! I liked a ton of other Metal Bands of the 80's, but no one Stands Out like "The Ryche"!

He's a pilot. He had to choose either beign a rock star or trying to become a pilot and he chose pilot. I think for the album tribe he did studio work with the band and he did like 1 live performance in Seattle iirc.

When all is said and done- QR was a band you could "call your own" and almost get away with it.

It has BEEN 23 YEARS and I still LOVE this band! I saw them twice in 1990, and again in 94. Nothing compares to the Operation Mindcrime Album! NOTHING! I liked a ton of other Metal Bands of the 80's, but no one Stands Out like "The Ryche"!

it's really sad that they're so underated...Operation Mindcrime is one of the best albums i've ever heard,but none of those stupid "Best 100 Rock Albums of All Times" don't even metion it!People really don't know what they're missing!
And Tate has one of the strongest voices among metal singers.Long live the queen of the ryche!
