He did the El Prez faster then I did in the 250 class at Gunsite and probably had a higher score too. Of course, he didn't do it perfect like all the YouTube keyboard commando's would if they could spare time away from their moms basement and show up at a top quality training center.
@zpaulg How did the muzzle sweep anyone? He didn't draw until he was facing downrange. Chalk another moronic comment up for the Online Rambos and Gunshop Commandos of the world.
@runawaygun762 I think they all live in Jersey and the chemicals in the air made their balls fall off. So they think everyone is the same. A drunken college kid with a weak mind that hangs on MTV. I tell you what, anyone that pays $300.000 for their kids degree, you better dam well give it to em or else, drunk or not. Anyone?
Slow your splits down to see the sights for the second shot, and speed up your transition from target to target.
The time to be gained in splits is only measured in hundredths of a second. The time to be gained in transitions is in tenths of a second. That is where your focus should be, not trying to get the second shot off as quick as you can pull the trigger.
@9works The difference this makes is huge...let the gun do the work for you, learn what acceptable accuracy is instead of trying to shoot beyond your ability and practice practice practice!
after his mag change he was supposed to do one to the head in each of the 3 targets. That is a real el presidente drill. Good drill. He did great two to the chests though. Good mag change too.

I think Max Michel talked about faster reloads by keeping it in sight instead of dropping it closer to your belt.
Magpul Dynamics also talks about reloading in your workspace. Give it a shot, might save a second or two.

@pinakadako Travis Haley did a short vid for SWAT magazine I think, with 3 different reload styles. Worth a watch I'd say.

He did turn the wrong way, but he did not mussel anyone. He's hand was not on the gun until his body was facing down range.
Your recoil control is not all there you wrist is breaking allot on each shot.
You should try and lean forward a bit more and grip harder may bend the elbows a bit.
Does your support hand slip when you when shooting pairs?
I agree with the comment about slowing down the splits and speeding up the transitions. It's amazing how it can improve your shooting.

The original El Presidente drill was developed by Jeff Cooper and published in January/February 1979 issue of American Handgunner magazine.
Upon the starting signal, the shooter turns and draws, fires 2 shots at each target, reloads, then fires two more shots at each target.
