@loni453 They all are. There was this soldier who was beaten and bound so severely into unconsciousness that in later years, every time he fell asleep, his wrists would take on the rope burns. The human mind is a powerful thing. They're all from backgrounds obsessed with Christianity and Catholicism in particular lol
@TheDaneenee61 I'll have to look it up, but for sure it was before the age of Universal Precautions. That evangelist was touching worshippers' faces with bleeding hands! I would definitely not do that. Interesting show, though. I'll have to check out a few more episodes.
@TheDaneenee61 According to IMDB, this series was aired in 1985. "Arthur C. Clarke's Myserious World had been on 5 years earlier, and "Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious Universe was on later ('90, I think). But I'm curious how much Clarke himself had to do with the production of these. I suspect he wrote his own comments, but I wonder how involved he was in the research, writing, and directing of the documentary.
The Arthur C Clarke Collection has just been released on DVD: it has all three series: "Mysterious World", "World Of Strange Powers" and "Mysterious Universe". All three are brilliant!
there is a real problem with the stigmata of the church leader woman. my sister in law could draw blood from the wrinkles on her hands by simply stretching her hand. she had very dry skin and as such, the wrinkles would bleed when stretched. that's what the church leader was doing. stretching her very dry palm until the wrinkles would tear open. notice they didn't bleed the opposit side of the palm. fakery.
as with most of these fanatical claims they never show footage of the bloog actually starting to ooze out. however ill keep an open mind until disproven - thanks for posting
not true. Katya Rivas has been documented by multiple scientists from before the beginning while and then the end. It happens to Catholics. Padre Pio etc. I have NO idea about this woman. But God bless everyone.
One problem I have with the stigmata effect is that when the Romans crucified people they didn't hammer the nails through their hands & feet, they actually hammered them through their wrists & ankles or else they'd just rip straight through the flesh.
The other problem I have is that they didn't actually use nails, they used iron spikes (similar to the ones they use in railway sleepers) which means that it wouldn't make the small neat holes as represented in stigmata effectees.
i forgot where i heard this from but it was proven that when the feet is nailed it can support the hands something lik ethat im just referencing dont take me the wrong way that im trying to wrong you

No, I didn't learn it from a movie. I learnt it when I was studying Roman history.
