This bat won't do all that well against a decent player. Your handle is glued / fixed right into the "sweet" spot so you won't have all that much control over heavy topspins or heavy pushes.
Your comment about 90% player ability is only true of professional players not of players below the 2500 rating. For most people it is the equipment which gives them more control and more spin and more speed.
@hstjkt controlling the ball is 90% depends on the player's capability, maybe the 10 % is the equipment.. ...I would agree it's kinda crapy design for backhand chops, (can be done, but it's hard and akward) But depending on the way you hold your bet and your technique, it is very unpredictable for the opponent to see where the ball is going. control-wise, it's preatty easy to control where your ball is going. I can probably beat anybody with actual rating of 1100 and below with this bat.
@caieros : hm.. ur opinion is not wrong... but believe me that bat wont stand against spins.... and too defensive, not a good offensive tools...... : /
please don't waste ur time in that bat.... must remember it's just "for fun"....
@hstjkt yes the key point is for fun...I had fun making this bet and had fun trying to play with it, when I can start beating more people with it, it will be bliss :P
If you use a stabbing technique/stroke, hold the blade like a knife and stab at the incoming balls, it is hard, almost impossible to see the direction of the return ball until it's too late. Very unpredictable. The downside is the backhand underspin is hard to return with that grip.

An improved grip for forehand smashing. Although backhand would be slightly harder.

Shoot yourself. You would get destroyed anywhere using that piece of shit.
