There would NOT have been a Korean War (1950-53) if the Truman administration had kept our troops in S. Korea in 1949, instead of WITHDRAWING THEM TOO SOON after WWII.

Has anyone been following this guy on TV and the News? I remember him saying as a ground troup he thought that we were in Iraq as a launching point for invading Iran. I'm trying to find that interview so I can post it if anyone knows the show he was on.

Georgia 1st Congressional District Democratic candidate Bill Gillespie and State Party Chair Jane Kidd were in Savannah early last week fighting for vet benefit increases and challenging Republican John McCain's lack of support on veteran issues. Way to go Jane and Bill, our troops need all the help we they can get. Its time to start taking care of our veterans when they come back and provide them the educational opportunities and medical care they deserve.

I thank Rieckhoff for having the courage to speak out on behalf of U.S. troops and the Iraqi people. From 1943 through 2004 there was always me or one of my siblings or my father in the Army. Many Democrats love to praise Bill Clinton for the most prosperous years in US history.Many Republicans love to praise Ronald Reagan for defeating the Soviet Union.Both Democrats and Republicans may be so enamored with Clinton and Reagan that they cannot easily distinguish reality from hero worship.Think!

I agree with you and Mr. Rieckhoff, but I would submit that both Clinton AND Reagan were bad presidents. People on both sides don't care to look beyond their ideological boundaries any more, they are so firmly planted in what they believe to be right that they refuse to think critically about the issues at hand and come up with their own answer.

Rieckhoff is a great American Veteran who did a great service for this country. Everyone in the US should read his book Chasing Ghost. It is an amazing book. I am 13 years old and i know that everything he says is true and it needs to be changed. I know that if it is to be changed by anyone, its not going to be changed by the president and I think that Rieckhoff has a better chance of making change. I think the future president should take that advice of Paul. Thank you for your service.
