i made a play list of all my favorite songs from like 100 different bands. i kept trying to make the play list smaller and smaller and kept erasing songs so i can only have about 30 brilliant songs. half the songs ended being Radiohead songs and the other half Beatles songs. there was one or two Pink Floyd songs on there. there is no doubt Radiohead is second only to the Beatles.

@crowellp Morrison was great... but listen to some of The Doors live stuff and you'll realize that he was primarily a studio artist, and didn't often deliver the vocal goods live.

Re: Daltrey, yes, I know who you meant. And I'm not saying he wasn't really good. He just wasn't Robert Plant good. I understand your response. I hear it a lot. I've just never seen Daltrey as anything but the front man for a great band. (Don't shoot me when I tell you I feel the same way about Jagger.) They were two guys who could sing well who were lucky enough to team up with amazing talent.

@PFCstilwell Umm... you seriously need to revisit music from the 70's... in terms of pure classical musical talent, NO ONE can touch Jethro Tull. In terms of guitar work, John Frusciante (RHCP) easily tops their lead guitar player in terms of skill, as does Jimmy Page (duh). Vocally, Thom York is very good, but he doesn't beat Roger Daltry or Robert Plant - not even close.

Having said all that, Radiohead is a great band... but to say that no one can top them is a serious insult to their

I am a great fan of Radiohead and especially their live version of I Might Be Wrong, but I have to say that it is a bit of a fuck up in this performance simply because of the pace. It's way to fast and sloppy compared to fx. the Canal+ performance. And also way to many HTTT Numbers, but other than that it's an epic performance.
