I love that Apple and the rest of Steve's family wanted to share this with us. Having been a Mac addict for almost two decades now, I feel that I've lost someone that I truly admired. The world is a better place because Steve Jobs was in it.

The reason why people see this as cult-like is because they are unaware of their own thought process. Memorial services are small for people who touched a small circle of people in a normal way. Memorial services are big for people who touched a big circle of people in a big way. A memorial service in your room only needs a small portrait of you on the table. A memorial service for a huge audience needs huge portraits. When someone feels touched, they attend a service. Many were touched.
