Jesus why is it all these live bands have little to no reverb in their intros? Look at Metallica live and then check this vid.. Anyway yeah, their music is normally played in the same keys. Not only that, but their drum beats rarely change, which is why people believe they're all the same. They aren't sped up for fuck sake, and stop calling them a studio band.. They're perfectly fine live. And Fridgeman05, what the fuck is SPEEDED UP? I'm sorry but is English your first language?
@HydrallAntidrall well, i don't think they have level to do better nowadays. Their songs are always C, Am, F, G... that kind of harmony. Always. Their rhythm guitar rarely has riffs, and rarelyer some different scales or notes outside the main scales. That's way Dragonforce's songs are so alike one another. Rhapsody of Fire is too a foolish band, but their songs are way sophisticated. But they can do better, every musician can, and it would be awesome, they just need to improve. My opinion.
@HydrallAntidrall Well, when they get a new lead singer, maybe they'll head in a different direction. Personally, I like their whole speed/power metal things, not taking anything too seriously, and making funny sounds with their guitars. But hearing them doing some different songs, rather than the usual speed-metal epics and power-metal ballads, would be good.
Herman li brings back hope in this band i wish that they write different album its always the same long solos and talk about freedom,dragons,fire war,salvation.
It's okay if you like Dragonforce, I like their music because, er, nothing. I don't know why I like them. But they are way overrated, I think one of the most overrated bands in the history of heavy metal. Sure they didn't deserve being the hardest song on Guitar Hero 3.
Comparing Dragonforce with Dream Theater is like comparing Justin Bieber and Michael Jackson. Dragonforce's rhythm guitar is just a bunch of fast alternating picking of mediocre harmonical sequences. Sequences like C, Am, F, G; same sequences that everyone uses in the pop shit. Same sequences Nick Jonas, for example, uses. That's why their songs r so alike one another. Their music is simple, it's not even a little alike progressive; just a Hammerfall with fast solos trying to be virtuous.
DT has a better drummer(had), guitar player, bassist, keyboard player, and singer, but if u ask me what band i like the most ill probably say dragonforce idk why

@full0armor4 they were always amazing live, its just the inhuman-rampage tour was aweful, and seeing how they were getting really big internationally at the time, tahts the only live preformances people saw, and thats what gave them their bad name. They were always good live, just technical issues during the Inhuman rampage tour.
dragonforce is awesome live when you are at the concerts. Everyone has bad concerts now and then. I was at an epica concert on a wednesday and there was a major fuckup with the bass amp so they had to start all over again. It happens
they have gotten better live because they got inner ear pieces so they can hear each other on stage. Before they had trouble and fucked up a LOT. They will even admit that they sucked live during Inhuman Rampage.

The studio versions are always better when it comes to this band - especially ZP. He sings high so his voice tends to tire out - but the rest of the band sounds pretty good though.
i admit that they all have an enormous amount of skill and talent. that can be admirable by all, but its just the music that they make that I don't like since it is pretty much of the same thing, fast strumming, a really long solo, something about evil or dragons. some songs i like though like black winter night.

Dragon Force have so many diff kind effects, they do plenty of music fake rythms.. and herman lee is actually not a good guitarist his hands is only fast when it comes to whirlwind guitar, they are not a goo band specially when live they are fakes..
It's not like I think the singer's putting on a bad performance. Almost all live vocal performances don't measure up to the studio counterpart. That's just a sad fact of life :(

Trust me, two-handed tapping is an absurdly easy technique the learn. Sweeping is a bit harder. I love Powermetal, but this is the shittest, least powerful/inspired, limp, lifeless, artificial poppy garbage in the world. I HATE DRAGONFORCE ALL ALL FAGS WHO SAIL IN HER!! Also, their lyrics are crap.

Dragon Force have so many diff kind effects, they do plenty of music fake rythms.. and herman lee is actually not a good guitarist his hands is only fast when it comes to whirlwind guitar, they are not a goo band specially when live they are fakes..

Trust me, two-handed tapping is an absurdly easy technique the learn. Sweeping is a bit harder. I love Powermetal, but this is the shittest, least powerful/inspired, limp, lifeless, artificial poppy garbage in the world. I HATE DRAGONFORCE ALL ALL FAGS WHO SAIL IN HER!! Also, their lyrics are crap.
