Abdul Qadir Gilani was one of the ascetic of this Ummah, he lived an austere life, loved Allah and His Messenger much, followed the Sunnah and was stern into following Allah's Commandments!

Ibn Taymiyyah opposed lawless interpretations of Sufi deviants, but he didn't oppose Sufism per se!

To compare them is unjust and to utilize the blessings of the great Sheikh to attack another religion is an anti-thesis to his (RAA) teachings. El Sheikh Gilani quotes the Holy Rasul (SAAS) saying (paraphrase): A Muslim is one whom EVERYONE derives benefit.

In Romans Ch 3, Paul was talking about how no-one is all good, all people sin. (See Psalm 116:11) But even with his weakness, God is magnified. So why do people still call him a sinner.

In 1Cor Ch 9 Paul is saying to build a bond with people to build trust. This is a tool to evangelize. Muslims practice this when the try to say Islam is like Christianity.

You need to read whole sections for the context before picking out a few verses.

Jesus came to fulfill the Mosaic Law. With the Passion, Death and Resurection the Mosaic Law was fulfilled and the New Covenant began. So Paul is right to say sticking with the old law is dead. It's purpose has passed.

Martin Luther preached salvation by "faith alone". Not even Paul taught that as can be read by his letters. The letter of James directly contradicts the "faith alone" doctrine, see Jam 2:24, Luther wanted to remove James but friends stopped him. :)
