  • Is it harder to play than a piano/synth ?

  • ermmm..how musch does this cost ... for eg to be shipped to india on a pay on delivery basis....(since my dads kinda psycho abt paying online)...

  • could you plug this into a guitar amps and use guitar effects with it?

  • Exactly what I craved! Awesome. I play piano, synths, guitar (up to 9 strings) and bass guitar (up to 12 strings)... And there you come with this fantastic all-in-one instrument... Damn, I see and hear how it can help songwriting as well. My jaw dropped on the floor... It looks so great, too! Congratulations! I hope to be in touch with you soon!

  • Thanks a lot for the info. And where and how do I get an extra set of strings?

  • @anointed01 Hi anointed01, we (Marcodi) can sell extra sets of strings if needed. However the strings of the harpejji are a combination of Ernie ball bass and electric guitar strings. So they would not be a special order item, you could however pick them up at any music store. Hope this helps!!!

  • How do you tune this beautiful instrument?

  • @anointed01 The harpejji has 24 strings tuned in ascending whole tones from A0 to G4. The tuning system is located at the player's end of the instrument, and you use an allen wrench to adjust each string. With a good, fast tuner, it takes me just a few minutes to get mine tuned up.

  • Does it require tuning? When can we expect a Midi interface?

  • A gorgeous new instrument - love it to bits!

  • Not to take anything away from how cool this instrument is..( and it IS VERY cool.)... and the tactile,hands-on-the-strings aspect is a big part of it.. BUT.. couldn't a lot of this be done on a good synth.. with the benefit of having a lot more

    different sounds at one's disposal??

  • Hey timjmoran,

Thanks for your comment. Two great advantages of the harpejji is that you have greater control of each note due to direct contact with real strings. Another is that the harpejji produces the sound of real strings.

We have had many people respond with similar comments and I understand the reasoning. However if you can reproduce harpejji, piano, guitar, bass, or drums sound

with a keyboard synth, does that mean the death of real instruments?

  • You have a legitimate point. But as you wrote, the hands-on-the-strings aspect is a big part of the appeal; in fact, it was big enough for me to place an order. ;-) When I play keyboards, I miss the intimate level of expression I have when I play guitar; when I play guitar, I miss the vast number of voicing and counterpoint options accessible on a keyboard. The harpejji isn't better than either, it's just different, and it combines some of the aspects of both.

  • Also, does it com with a USB/Midi port?

  • At the present moment the harpejji does not support USB or Midi.

  • how much does it cost?

  • The pickups sound like optical. Are they?

  • They are piezo.

  • does anyone know where i could buy one of theese from?

  • Hey DJ, give us a call at 1-888-553-4999

  • Very cool video.

Must be a nightmare to tune it though!

  • Tuning is quicker than you think because you don't have to keep turning your head back and forth like you do on a guitar.

  • does it come with those different synths or is that separate?

  • the different sounds you hear are outboard guitar effects processors
