  • laughed at 3:20 =))))

  • vtec just kicked in yo! =))

  • pffhhttt!! those cars were NOT being driven hard at all.

nice driving on the s2000's part though

  • Very nice. And yes the car does have a say in how fast you can go. For instance my friend is a very talented driver, and recently got a 2003 miata. He was astonishing in his old raggedy barely running golf with 1 axle, bald tires, 2 motor mounts gone, motor on it last leg as well as transmission. But he wowed me and now he has his miata hes really expressing his talent behind the wheel. Its just amazing what a good car and driver can do.

  • @catfisher10100 I completely get what your saying but I will say those old mk1/mk2 gti's were pretty fast in the right hands and in good condition, I'm not a big fan of vw but mostly because of the crowd that drives them either make the car look good and think they are faster than everyone else or try to drag race which isn't their strong point, but still a well built car with potential for fwd cars. The miata is an amazing car though I'm sure your friend is in love with it lol.

  • great driving I can't wait to get my ap2 in the spring

  • Bullshit.

  • Is the S2000 rear wheel drive ?

  • @cranehelp99 Yes, Front engine RWD.

  • @cranehelp99 ya it is

  • that maserati needs a upgraded suspension and then that thing would be killer.

  • s2k is good but honestly if i owned a ferrari i would be taking it easy lol

  • 2:45 vtec kicked in yo

  • This wasn't your first time on that track , was it ?

  • Ferrari driver LOOOOLLL, Maserati driver is a bit better

  • I Press L1 but it doesnt look back :(

  • Ferrari owner is not a Ferrari driver!!

    That Ferrari sounds very nice.

The S2000 sounded like 220 to 230hp at the wheel.

    That V-TEC is cracking hard.

    Suspension look mild to stock.

I would like to race with them all. =D

  • Great video, Truely this was one of my favorite videos to watch out of most of the track racing vidoes that I have sorted through watching on youtube.

The Porsche 964, 933 is my favorite all time cars, and now is the S2000. the little engine that could looks like a great car.

  • I didn't see any "special" skill from the S2k driver. Every "pass" he made he was waved by! The Maserati, Porsche, NSX, & Ferrari all left the laboring S2000 in the weeds coming out of turns -- whenever a "pass" happened, you could see brake lights on the "passed" car or the driver waving the Honda by!

  • Honda ForTheWin!

  • I have both a maserati coupe and a s2000 too so this was a fun video to watch... very nice!

  • GREAT driving man, I bought my S2k with a k&n intake and invidia catback, this vid really makes me want to learn my car!

  • Fantastic driving! Really proves how a not so-fast car can catch up and pass faster cars with great driving skill!!

  • thats it man so you can drive thats the point all these ppl are care about theyr hourses and not about theyr driving skill well done and thx for showing that video to the world

  • Maybe the Ferrari owner didn't want to mess up his $ 200,000 car compared to the $17,000 Honda S2000. I would not push my Porsche 911 that hard on track just for fun.

  • @hugheswho1 then again why exactly would you take your ferrari to the race track?

  • The Honda s2000 is a terrific all-around car.

  • What happen during 4:39 to 4:42 ?

  • Niiice one dude, HONDA all the way.. HONDA ROCKS ESP on TOP GEAR LOL AREIL ATOM FASTEST TRACK CAR.. And this Honda s2000 and the driver is sick combination ,I have also done a track day with my honda type R when i had one... I have 11 cars since ie. subarus 350z ect lol Thumbs up from me and keep me posted.

  • This is proof it's not the car it's the driver that makes the difference!!!

  • THAT A BOI!!!

  • great drive

  • Superb Driving! Love it!!

  • dat mazariti smoked u guys...........very nice

  • This goes to show that, lots of people who's capable of owning these awesome cars can't drive or as good as they think. We do see these drivers haul asss in these awesome cars on highway and think their hot shit, but once corners come up...their don't know what to do lol!!! I'm just saying I know few peeps that die, because their own some quick little car and can't drive...what a waste of lifes and cars.

Learn how to drive your car.....Happy motoring peeps!!!

  • Clearly a S2000 is a compitent car, that goes without saying... However being an experienced driver, you should know that over taking other cars that have instructors riding with them, all be not always easy... you clearly were a better driver than all of them...

I have done the same thing...Passing GT3's and Turbos... in my 944 race car.

Get with equal drivers, then do some bragging.

    Other than that nice driving.

  • have a fear honda is here... VAKER-HONDAKIAS

  • The best 9 minz and 19 secs of my life!!! HONDAS ARE THE BEST!!! THUMBS UP IF YOU BELIEVE!

  • you even passed the last one, a Lambo(if I'm right) he was really trying

But eventually no one wins from a Honda :D:D:D

  • @keokiracerhalsteren Nope Ferrari

  • A great drive in a great car. Well done Mr. Honda! :-)

The S2000 is pure and simple. Which is the essence of sports car motoring....

    Shame it's been discontinued though...

I hope that Honda can give us something even more exciting than the S2000 in the future - they certainly have the know-how!

    Long Live Honda!

  • that s2000 takes those turns better than any of those cars on that track. The out curve acceleration on the honda is insane. but top end, Ferrari (probably) would have one in an outright 1/4 mile.

  • @stevehbin

I love s2000s but how exactly does it take a post 1990 ferrari in turns? I think the ferrari driver is just not that skilled or isnt that familiar with the track

  • Maserati driver must have been like ooooooooh shit when the hell is the straight coming so i he can pass me . hahahhaah u were right on his tail

  • dayumm

  • Rich people cant race?

  • great!! i can sea what you are so great driver !!

  • props to the s2000 driver for actually making use of his car's abilities. As for the other drivers, they seem like they're too worried about messing up their cars to actually drive them or know how to drive.

  • hahah mad cunt

  • Just about to buy one of these babies. You just made my mind up. Fucking wow.

  • u r keepin a good line, thumbs up for that =] and now imagine how much more this car could let you get away with if you had some good tires ! =] If you ever get another vid at the track with that s2000 I wanna see it !

    Drive / ride safe !

    PEACE

  • @voytek i know right! every bit of that was exactly what i was thinking

  • how many hp ur s2000 has?

  • @Cosmosfr

    it's stock so 240

  • wow, great driving!

  • completely stock? lol wow. after seeing this I wanna buy one s2k for daily drive!

  • @supertrex2 they're pretty good if u wanna have a race and economic car in one, as long u dont make the vtec kicks u gonna have a 38 mpg car on the highway and a pretty fast car after 6500 RPMs

  • @S2000F20CVTEC why would you not go into vtec!? but i have done that once just to see, i got nowhere near 38mpg, more like 30, and that's like drivin miss daisy style, didn't buy it for that. :)

  • @charlietow if u make the vtec kick it will use alot more of gas, anyways when ur cruising u dont go over 6500 RPM's so u dont use vtec dumbass...

  • @S2000F20CVTEC no need to be insulting here buddy, i didn't insult you, i simply stated that i've done the whole "not driving fast thing" to see how well mpg i'd get, and the most i got was 29. i know where it's at when im cruising.

  • @charlietow not insulting, Im just saying.... U probably get that with the AC on, turn it off and u will c the big diference...

  • @S2000F20CVTEC dude AC off does not make that big of a difference trust me on this, I know. and when you said "dumbass" that was an insult buddy. one thing though, is where is your car from? is it a US version or overseas version? the over seas one does get much better mpg than the US one does, so maybe that's why you get such good mileage then. so does the car go faster with AC off too?

  • @charlietow wattever dude, if u think AC doesnt make any difference then ur smoking crack... I get 25MPG with the AC on and 38 w/o AC, if u think otherwise then Im done talking to u dude, when u learn how a engine works and how the AC system works and how does it affect the performance of the engine then we can have a conversation...

  • @S2000F20CVTEC haha! ok dude well i fix these things for a living and i do damn well running my own business, so i think i know how AC works and affects the performance of a car, it is a very small load that is put on the engine with AC. it's for sure not enough of a load to give you 13mpg more, i've done the tests, even with my pick up, i've done the same thing, AC, no AC, tailgate off even, nothing will give you a 13mpg increase that's as simple as flippin a switch

  • @charlietow good for u, Im talking about the S2K, thats the car I dirve daily and I know what my car gives on the road, is u tested ur truck o w.e oh well but about the S2K I can tell u... When I got what I got on gas milage was driving across 4 states and math doesnt fail, miles ran by the gas u put in ur tank thats what it is and it wud be wrong if it was just one time but i did quite of few stops and every time it was between 35-38mpg w/o ac running 78mph @ 4700rpm's

  • @S2000F20CVTEC lol, this isn't 1970 any more AC doesn't effect performance or milage hardly at all. it was done on mythbusters if you don't believe me. also, it takes like less than 1hp to drive the AC unit...

  • @jgto17 mythbusters tested windows down vs ac at different speeds, in no way did they test ac vs no ac

  • @JaaS0on dude look, regardless, technology has come one hell of a long way since the invention of the air conditioning unit. having your ac off isn't going to get you 13 extra mpg, like s2200f20vtec was claiming...

  • @jgto17 true but ur gonna get prolly around 2mpg better

  • @JaaS0on depending on your trip maybe. on a short 10 mi trip, doubtful, but maybe on a longer trip. honestly though, 2mpg extra isn't worth being uncomfortable...

  • Such a courteous driver.

  • your a very good driver. I admire you.

  • Thats why its called a PRACING HORSE! I thought real drivers bought Ferrari's.

  • this video proves that there is no fast car without a good driver!

    thumbs up!

  • get a shift light buddy, ur red lining very often, ur bearings arent going to like that and neither will ur valves. otherwise, great track positioning and corner entry-exit lines

  • @KaynSlav doesnt sound like you know much about honda at all... those engines will last years with this kind of driving as long as you give em good oil and proper care! (I know since I have one and had other hondas in the past)

  • Throw some Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs on there

  • Haha power isn't everything! Great driving dude

  • Great driving dude. Looks like money can't buy skill. But to the Ferrari drivers, if I owned a 200k dollar car it wouldn't get pushed hard either.

  • love my stock s2

  • passing retirees on amatuer day is not a sport

  • Awesome driving in an awesome car, and s2ks are very reliable too, all for arround £ !0 - 15000 .

  • You sir, are a hell of a wheelman

  • nice

  • thank you!!thank you!!. that's whet iv been trying to tale some of my associates. the S2000,and the NSX are pure sports cars, they weren't built for drag racing, even tho they can, but these cars rally shine on the track, i cant what to get my nsx some day,

  • Do i need to say more? This is why S2000 is such an awesome car! And it purrrrs~~ GO DUDE GO!!

  • Honda power man!

Cant wait till im a bit older im gonna build up a little track EG hatch, maybe a built B18c.... cant wait :)

  • I just watched an episode of Top Gear where they proved the same point you are able to make with this video. Its not about overall power, but how light your car is along with that power. The S2000 is almost 500lbs lighter than the Ferrari's . Awesome job representing Honda on the track

  • excellent driving...sweet s2k.....and my point proven again that its all up to the driver and not the car u drive.a treu gear head like myself.i bet he knows more about them cars then the owners themselfs.

  • Sounds like a stock S2000. Excellent driving in the Honda. Several of those cars should be able to hold it off even on a track, so I have to give the driver a big thumbs up.

  • More proof for yellow being the fastest colour for an S2000

  • Comment removed

  • NSX thank you!! for not trying against my s2000

  • Just shows you why drivers make a difference really...

  • Nice video! Track days are mostly a head game. The main difference is tossing your $30K car into a corner vs your $100-300K car. I track an S2K instead of a High-end sports car mainly cause I couldnt stomach balling up $100K+ for fun, the other reason is cause breaks/tires/gas are much cheaper to go through. S2K and Miata FTW!

  • Is it a stock s2000? doesn't look like one. Look to me it's pretty stiff the way he corners the car. He sets that s2000 up really well. Hella driver too..

  • doesn't look stock? you dont even see it, and yeah, it sstock, just listen.

  • you're right. The sound is definitely different when I watch it again.

  • nice

  • trial braking a ferarri... yum

  • none of those losers knew how to drive, sounded like they were idoling through corners.. were you the only one trying that day? NSX would rock the S2K :)

  • @Rydogg616 both made by honda, a honda can beat another honda haha

  • OMG I cant beleive i found this video. i was at the track that day and was enjoying seeing your s2000 showing the ferrari owners how to drive.

  • Nice driving!

  • I literally smiled to myself at 7:40 thinking about how the driver of that 360 must feel when he saw a stock s2000 in his mirrors.

  • Yeah! He was fingering the 360!

  • Hate to say it but i would smoke you in a Evo around that track!

  • @e30Birdy Evo's don't make a difference. the only thing that matters is your driving skills

  • well its proven that Evos are some of the fastest cars on tracks against other stock vehicles.. they did a test vs a lambo and the lambo had no chance in the corners but blew the evo out on straight aways

  • except that evo you are talking about that was featured on top gear is highly tuned and gets 4mpg!

  • @Bimbodeoro no it was actually done on a german show on DMAX with Tim Schrick and it wasnt tuned but thanks for your comment

  • true dat

  • loool S2K grosses couilles, ferrari etc etc, que des petites bites. La diff entre un pilote et des amateurs.

  • If that ferrari was in my hands...you wouldnt have passed me in that stock s2k.....that guy didnt know how to drive

  • easy tiger

  • You know this, how?

  • Yeah, I'd let you pass too if I was driving a car worth a small house.

  • that ferrari in the beginning wasnt even accelerating half the time...s2000 is a good car i love them but it looks like a rather experienced s2k driver and a bunch of old dudes driving exotics afraid to push them too hard. still an entertaining vid dont get me wrong

  • imports will all ways lose to muscles in circuits? you know what ive seen, s2000s, nsx, skylines, rx7, evos,...etc on circuits but only seen vipers and corvettes (credit to these two beauty cars) on circuits exceptions for "nascar", oval race. regular camaros, mustangs, chargers cant handle curves well, only straights but even imports can dominate there as well. it always depends on the driver, if theyre in same class(sport car vs sport car, not sport vs eco friendly), and the money put into it

  • True to an extent but the domestics have closed the handling gap in recent years, at least in terms of on paper performance. However, even the all mighty ZR1 doesn't have the tactile performance of the Euro and Japanese sports cars. What good is having all that performance potential if the chassis, steering and brakes don't talk to you? If the car doesn't talk the driver wont have the confidence to push it to its limits. Honda, Ferrari, BMW and Porsche are standouts in that area.

  • Another "ZR1 mentioned but not ACR". The Viper ACR has proved that america (especially Dodge) can build an incredibly well handling vehicle that definitely holds its own against imports.

  • The ACR performed well but it was much less civil and user friendly than the ZR1. The ACR wasn't refined nor was it built like an $85K car. Unfortunately for Chrysler it's being sent out to pasture.

  • Dude you are so right. That car wasn't refined and it wasn't built like an $85k car. It was built like a $100k car! And yeah, it's "less civil" because it's not some womans grocery getter. It's nothing but pure raw american horsepower in a car that eats curves like it eats chevys (yeah ford you're left in the dust on this one).

  • If you think the Viper or any Chrysler product has the build quality of a $100K you're clearly either a Dodge fanboy or simply delusional. Yes, the Viper has proven capable but it's not the best high end sports car. The ACR is a stripped model with a huge wing on the back vs the ZR1 which is equally if not more capable yet with all the daily conveniences in place. Chevy CLEARLY won this race.

  • The Viper ACR is a track car not a womans car get over it. And I'd say it's a super car now. The wing puts downforce on the car. And Chevy won no races they got beat all over. Even in price.

  • My point is the ZR1 is so close in performance even though it's NOT a dedicated track car. Imagine if the ZR1 was a track car!

  • Yeah, I'm imagining it ain't happening. And winning is still winning doesn't matter the distance.

  • My point is that Dodge had to make the Viper that extreme to get good numbers while the Corvette ZR1 didn't. Overall, the ZR1 is the better executed car.

  • Ah so you mean the Viper is a real man's car? Alright cool. What's the purpose of the ZR1?

  • My point has nothing to do with personal insecurities as it has to do with the better executed car. The Corvette doesn't need a huge rear wing or bare bones interior to extract its maximum performance potential. The fact that Dodge had to go to this extreme to make the ACR perform yet the Corvette ZR1 offers 99.9% percent of that performance in a better overall package. The ACR is like a second faster on the Ring which is a small lead given it's 13 miles in length. ZR1 is the clear winner here.

  • Clear winner? I thought it was pretty clear when the ACR beat it around Nurburgring, idk about you. And I don't think they would have "extracted its maximum performance potential" without a supercharger. The Viper is all N/A, two more cylinders yes, but still N/A. And a second faster or a mile faster don't matter, it still won.

  • Yes, the Vette does use a supercharger but you failed to mention the Viper uses a full 2.0Ls of displacement over the ZR1. I declare that equal. To try and make you understand my point of perspective yes, the Viper is a second faster around the Ring. If that second was achieved on a much shorter track it would have been a more substantial victory. But that's not the case as the Ring is about 14 miles in length. A second spread over a 14 mile track is nothing.

  • To add to that, the Viper is a more aggressive car as it's a stripper model where the Vette ZR1 is not. Taking that into consideration, the Viper should have had a major advantage over that length of track instead of just a second. With that said, the ZR1 is a superior car.

  • A second is a long time in racing.

  • Fully aware of that as I mentioned that in my last post. However, a second isn't that long on a 14 mile long track compared to a 1.5 or 2 mile track. I've looked at this comparison from many perspectives and I fail to see how or where the Viper ACR is superior to the ZR1.

  • Well I'm sorry you fail to see the light but that's your personal opinion.

  • Too bad the Viper is in its last days while the Corvette will soldier on.

  • @blkguynlex

Yeah it is too bad! Trust me dude I have nothing against the corvette, the Viper is just my preference. But I swear if Fiat names their "refined european-styled sports car" that's being made in a joint effort with Chrysler a "Viper" I am going to be one pissed person.

  • As the proud owner of a 2002 S2K (me) and a 2005 S2K (wife) I'm glad to see high performance Honda's in their natural elements as the majority of "racing" videos here that involve Honda's only focus on straight line performance.

  • thank you, nicely put. thats the s2k's true theater. you can tell in this video. i to own a 2001 s2000 and absolutely love to drive it..sad to see it go, i hope honda makes a replacement.

  • Nice driving. What year S? Sounds like a 2.2 liter. Noticed lots of tire squeal...experiencing understeer?

  • and they TOTALLY let you thru on the straightaway....ur stock honda ain't no match for the exotics hahaha...just responding to your sidebar

  • true but the power of the other cars still couldn't put a big enough gap for the s2000 not to catch up in the turns.after all the honda caught them from behind!!!!.. reminds me of old British racing with the mustangs and camaros in the 60's(before the 2.0 L max displacement rule)make a gap down the straight, real them in in the turns, classic!!!

  • so...if they race for fun?.....what happens if they crash each other?

wouldn't that really SUCK for YOU honda driver? hahaha good luck paying for damages if you hit them....

  • probably would be able to afford repair cost because they aren't paying out the ass on the Ferrari in the first place

  • all he is saying is that it doesnt matter what car your in it matters how you drive

there is a difference between a fast driver and a safe driver and you can be both

ive been to many track events and seen many people who can buy everything but the ability to drive

i have been in a multitude of Ferraris Porches Astons and driven many as well and no an s2000 isnt faster but it is on the track if you know how to drive it

btw speed aka horsepower or howmuch your car puts you back means nothing

  • F20C !!!!!! <3 :D

  • lol i love watching videos here Just to see the lames argue with each other about dumb shit, its no doubt the other [SUPER CARS] werent at full throttle, but the whole point of this guy's video is to show the track capabilities of his S2K, if you werent there then your comments cant even come close to valid because you just DONT know.

  • where is this track?

  • Of course the ferrari drive slow on the corner.Who want to smash an expensive car?If it a mini cooper with 200hp of course they can drive fast at corner

  • BuT I will Say You Got Blazed out On AT 7:44. LOL

  • Well I Say One thing Thats For Sure. This Man In the S2000 Is Taking a Way Better Line Than Everyone Else. Alittle More HorsePower an He'd Be Passin everyone On the Turns. It's Not Always about who's Faster, But Your Entering an Exit Speed Cornering are the Most Crucial.

  • buen video y buen piloto ;)

  • Good video my friend. I find it almost crazy that you didn't originally know that you were driving a ap1. Upgrade those stocky tires with some RE01r's. Best investment I ever made on mine so far. Granted they don't make them anymore but there is always the replacement RE11s. Remember to throw up the peace sign when you see a fellow s2ker. ;)

  • Do you really think that makes that big of a difference?

Do you know the differential in horsepower between the vehicles he was running against? The Honda was down at least 130HP compared to the Ferraris, do you think a passenger is going to make that up?

You are obviously someone who doesn't track.

  • i own an ap1 there fag just stating the obvious

  • i agree that the s2000 is a great track car but the maserati is no track car think more grand tourer. Also the ferrari as other people have said is not going at wot so if they were trying you woulda been smoked.

  • agree

  • although i agree with you that the S is a badass car out of the box (i own an ap2), most of those cars didn't look like (nor sound) they were going WOT. The NSX, like stated before, flies around tracks man. They're nearly 300lbs lighter with roughly 30hp more out of the box..

plus the factory tyres aren't that good..

    but great video nonetheless!

  • nice although those older folk were not tryin is hard as you...they were pretty much like let this kid pass b4 he bumps into my 100k whip..

  • you are a fag!

why dont they show us why their cars are so expensive and step on the gas? cuz they cant!

  • Obviously, the ferraris and nsx were just having a promenade. On a track they fly... The maserati had a driver let's say not so keen, so highway to the s2000.

  • thats why the s2000 is such a great car. and is hands down the best convertible ever!!-

  • nice video

  • That Maserati just look,s like a shed on wheels.

  • a turbo would deffinantly help out!

  • wrong if you have turbo, the engine oil temp gona go off the roof and you will have turbo lag during corner which make your car slower. That why race like Leman and stuff like that you will see most cars are N/A. Turbo help you out at track that have alot straight but not corner to corner.

  • In reality, it is really the driver who matters, N/A or turbo wouldn't matter. A turbo s2k would be pretty fast.

  • thats what an oil cooler is for and properly tuning the computer but I aint gonna sit hear and argue cause the turbo vs. N/A afgument has been around since the beginning of racing...and one more thing lemans cars dont need turbos cause the cars have large engines and are tuned by pros not because turbos cause lag in turns

  • at 2:45 when you pass it doesnt sound like the ferrari was pushing it very hard, nice vid otherwise

  • they arent going too fast cuz they dont want to damage their cars that cost coupe hundrend thousand vs the $15k s2000

  • yeah exactly the guy even put at a ferrari club meet, THEY ARNT RACING...but all these people want to talk crap cause they want to believe that an s2k can beat a nsx which proves they know nothing of cars

  • well if it was a ferrari club meet then i think you can ignore the ferraris. focus on the maserati and porsche hm? ok? good.
