  • Anyone that knows similar music to this? Just so damn hard to find music now days. There's all the big artists everywhere. Sick of it!

  • @JerryBeatFreak Lambchop, Vic Chesnutt, Calexico, Wilco, Jeb Loy Nicholls, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Grand Drive, Palace Music and Will Oldham solo, Paul Birch, Bill Callahan from Smog, Handsome Family, Son Volt, Johnny Dowd are some I can think of, not all that similar but in that direction, all good and all worth you tubing, chris.

  • @maclennan73 hey...i've been aware of jim white for a number of years and i used to have an UNCUT disk that had a song by him on it called Hey!!! You Goin' My Way???, but i cannot find it on anyone's playlists here. any chance you or anyone you know has it & can post it?....ron

  • @rongermanjr not sure I'll have a look, uncut magazine?

  • @maclennan73 yes....seems to me it was UNCUT February 2001 (but don't quote me on the month/year, i had so many of them it's hard to remember them), Americana: Songs of the American West Vol 2.......The Wound That Never Heals and Static on the Radio were two other Jim White songs that the UNCUT magazine featured on their discs......the discs come free with the magazine and typically feature tracks form artists/groups that are new releases, but they also featured stuff from reissues, etc

  • @rongermanjr Itwas also on the 'No such Place' album, which I have somewhere, Ill try and find it this weekend and upload it for you.

  • @maclennan73 cool, that would be great!.i can't seem to find it anywhere on here

  • @rongermanjr Sorry not had a chance to look for that track, I'll try and do it soon when I get home, maybe in a week or so, I've definately got it, but at the bottom of a box....?

  • @maclennan73 Did you find it? I'm interested, too ...

  • @maclennan73 oops, sorry, found when I looked at your videos, thanks!

  • @JerryBeatFreak maclennan had a few good ones but id also recommend william elliott whitmore, the tallest man on earth, charlie parr and levon helm.

  • This version is much better than the one on his album "Wrong Eyed Jesus." Does anyone know where i can find(download/buy) this acoustic version? - No youtube downloader is not good enough, i would like to have it in cd quality or at lest 320kbs mp3

  • Jims music is so much intimate and real without all the digital drum pedal shit.

  • This is so much more than awesome.

  • Absolutely beautiful. Done a load of fantastic songs but i love this the best.

  • A beautiful, mad (sane in this world) genius. He can tear your guts with songs like this. Amazing story-teller.

  • Man. Jim has to be on my all time top 10 Deserted Island list, I would take wrong-eyed Jesus. The arrangements are simple but brilliant, the melodies and lyrics are as intricate as a Swiss watch. This man has a gift. -I wish him well. Look for every new appearance. He always seems to have good live performances. -That says a lot.

  • fantastica versione di questa bella canzone !!

  • this is a gorgeous version of this song...I find the recorded version a little spookier tho...this guy's live show is awesome...his stories in between songs are half of his appeal I find!

  • I caught his show in Birmingham, England, recently, and I thought this was the best song in his set. Easily one of the best shows I've ever seen. Mellow, spooky and utterly captivating. A supremely talented guy.

  • Way to go Jim, wish I had found you sooner. Love your voice and this song. KUDOS

  • what a wonderful singer. Wishin' I could see him one day in Corsica... "Searching for the wrong-eyed Jesus" is a great album.

  • A VERY SPECIAL MUSICIAN

A BUDDY OF DEE from Wovenhand

  • What a great song!! Thank you!

  • Thanks for posting this. Beautiful song.

  • A voice to die for. Oh. Today is a perfect day...
