The modern term for Shell Shock could have been replaced by the realization that they had to live with a bloodier type of war and more inmediate emotional results. @Wolfen443 Well that's a good point. WW2 definetely saw an increase in the amount of casualties but for civilians I think war has gotten cleaner (and I'm not saying war is ever clean). Some wars where played out in one decisive battle, others were played out in long drawn out sieges. Invading armies would often terrorize the countryside and town of a caslte. In total something like 110.000 man/people were killed in a few day.s, 70.000 were left on the battle field; wounded, most of them died as well. History doesn't tell you how many people died, they just sing praise of the victorious armies. Counting the dead and wounded came after Korea. Vietnam was the real start.

@AnimusSolis I certainly agree with you there, the monetary system is flawed because it must always have losers, and getting rid of the system would create no losers, and therefore equilibrium. Certainly there would also be no large corporations, and less control from them. The only real advantage to having a monetary system is functionality, i.e allowing for economic growth through trading of liquid assets (money). That, however, is a huge advantage for any country that can use it...

But, with the ideology also having a very strong push of meritocracy, educational-based success, we now have a very saturated pool of highly skilled labour forces in such countries, and while thats a bad thing during economic downturns, it does also allow freat advances in technology. In total something like 110.000 man/people were killed in a few day.s, 70.000 were left on the battle field; wounded, most of them died as well. History doesn't tell you how many people died, they just sing praise of the victorious armies. Counting the dead and wounded came after Korea. Vietnam was the real start.

The whole point of many goverments is Utilitarianism, supporting the most amount of people possible, rather than supporting the best. Getting rid of any hierarchy may make life easier for those that can live for themselves, but what about those that cant? How would they survive in a place where there is no support but the family? The immediate effects, in my opinion, far outweigh the long term benefits of such a society

@AnimusSolis I certainly agree with you there, the monetary system is flawed because it must always have losers, and getting rid of the system would create no losers, and therefore equilibrium. Certainly there would also be no large corporations, and less control from them. The only real advantage to having a monetary system is functionality, i.e allowing for economic growth through trading of liquid assets (money). That, however, is a huge advantage for any country that can use it...

It IS possible to feed everyone, there are methods EVERYWHERE (I have done endless research on the matter). But as long as people have food on their table, no one cares. The built in class system on monetary value distorts our society's more than you or I care to know.

Apparently lending out money to people who cant afford to pay it back was a bad thing... who knew, right? But that's just the individual fault, in other examples, such as the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China), and most clear in Germany, this system has allowed unbelievable growth, and has in turn allowed for massive human rights. Its complex, yes.

@Katazka Yea, I have noticed for example Germany's advance, but there is a key element that no one can "overcome" without adapting to it. The capitalist ideology is Employer-> Employee-> Consumer-> Employer...etc. It's cyclical, but that cyclical makeup is simply bad due to the finite resources on the planet. Also, correct waste clean up is not profitable enough to be taken seriously by the world.

But, with the ideology also having a very strong push of meritocracy, educational-based success, we now have a very saturated pool of highly skilled labour forces in such countries, and while thats a bad thing during economic downturns, it does also allow freat advances in technology. Certainly, its beeen proved by that labour that the coldest temperature we can create, releases over 2000 times the energy contained in a substance.
