To some extent, though the two don't really play similar to each other. My comment was in response to alien921 implying that FF was the "best RPG for ps1", which I don't agree with at *all*. 7 was okay, 8 was tedious, 9 was good. Vagrant Story is a better RPG than any of them though.
@JadKni hmmm.... I bought VS a few months ago, and put it down in a week never to pick it up again. I love the art direction, the atmosphere and the music, but that game play is so ass it's unbelievable. Weapons don't do shit damage sometimes, and you gotta grind on similar monsters to make it do anything substantial to bosses, yet sometimes, even this doesn't work because your weapon isn't the right "type". Chaining is extremely picky and the button layout always confuses me.
Such an amazing game. This game will remain timeless. Even the soundtrack is amazingly good. I listen to it often. I gotta get a psp and learn how to put it on there.
I am playing this game for the first time (I have it on my PSP) and this boss is mighty hard lol. I have fought him 3 times and I still havnt beat him (I always forget to look at my health).

It's fairly hard but I wouldn't cal the gameplay shit. As for grinding, you grind in FF games a lot more than you do in VS.

To put it on your psp you need to download the file in EBOOT.PBP format.
Then make a file in psp/game/(Make a folder named "VS or Vagrant Story) and put it in there

VG is one of my favourite games of all time. it might be flawed, but it's so gorgeous...nothing like it out there.
