  • my grandad used to sing this. funnily enough, he was welsh rather than irish but he loved to sing irish songs. i've never heard anyone sing it as well as him.

  • Glad to be able to say I was there a few short years ago when Kevin Barrys(amongst others) remains were removed from mountjoy and given a full state military funeral, the hairs on my neck stood up as his remains were applauded from the pro cathederal to his final resting place the repulican plot glasnevin cemetary. A hero for us all.

  • Must have been an awesome experience. Me and my husband visited Glasnevin cemetery in aug this year, and I took pics of the plot/ grave that inc K Barry. He was so young when he died, a med student I believe.
