This song holds special memories for me as it was the first song I ever danced to in public. I was 11 and loved it. Great single and still sounds fresh today !
So many memories .So many unknown girls in a night passion This was the music in the golden age And i was there and better than any hip-hop generation
On 17 July 2010 there will be a gathering in Birmingham to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of 'Searching for the young soul rebels'.
Original band members will be present as will friends and associates of that time, live music, images and spoken word are all planned to make this event extra special and a fitting celebration of arguably one of the greatest debut album's of all time.
A week after your fourteenth birthday you wake up and hear that this is #1. For a kid raised on rock and punk it was like something from outer fin space.
You must be their Thai oil boy you spamming prick ! See you've namedropped them quite a few times. So whats in it for you asshole ? Typical fuckin yank white trash.
I am about to closei this account because they are STEALING my work for profit . I have had enought of it . I am also haveing them for breach of copyright on my images .
Who's stealing Tom ? And how would they profit mate ? You seem so angry ,please don't close your account. Love your tunes my friend. Jeez we ALL get ripped off mate ,thanks to the ingenious tube to mp3 downloader !! I used to get pissed ,but then realised that the tunes were never really mine in the first place ! Your images ,certainly. Thats your work and bound by copyright ,tunes ,nope sorry.
I asked them to remove all the vids off there site as images were copyright Spotty Badger Productions , Tom Crawford and hence under international copright laws they were in the shit . Don't like the fact we upload for free on here , they pinch and ask for a donation , fucking free loading scum . Would smack the first cunt i meet from there into tommrow .
mp3fy are hacking our accounts and takeing our uploads then people can down load as a VID MP3 or ACC and they ask for a donation . That alone fucked me right off . if i type s2trash into there site page after page of my uploads come up . They have got into deep water over image copyright . This will end up in court and i will close them down .
@s2trash i agree with zeb ,tom, you cant close your account loads of people love listening to you tunes ...just do what you got to do about your images though ... xx kiddy
I pray oneday a band will have the guts to to record a album like this again . The Redskins where the last great stand on white soul and R&B . Seems so long ago now . Maybe i should dig the bass out and do it myself ! .
i was 17 at the time when this tune was in the charts. i went up to liverpool with some of my mates for a long weekend . my sister was up there in uny ( university in english) ! and we called in to see her . the youth that took us was from liverpool , and wanted to look up relatives he'd not seen in years. i remember we all got the ferry across to new brighton and went round the fun fair . geno by dexy's was booming out all over the fair . the place was crawlin with fanny . grrr8 times !
@PulpFictionized It was a youth subculture that was huge in England in the 60s and 70s, they would start off riots with skinheads, they drove Vespas and listend to this sort of music
@KEYNSHAM4 i was a skinhead and i liked it,but so did everyone in my school,i remember school discos where everyone was singing along to it,good memories, still love it now
funny thing is, some of the band lived near my aunt's old place and parts of the video for this were filmed outside her local corner shop

Who's "them" Tom ,whats their site and what did they do ?
Actually I DO "like the fact we upload for free on here" .....had we have to pay I would'nt bother to be honest.
If you're being copyrighted as such ,file a complaint mate. Was'nt too sure about what you meant by "they pinch and ask for a donation" ??
