i dont think her leaps are weak. just because she doesnt have massive oversplits like bessonova doesnt mean her leaps are weak. and she is definitely NOT slow for the music!
so old fashionned too! What's happening to Aliya? Sha kind of makes huge progresses, then seems to stop... I really thought she would be on a few podiums in Beijing, even Bronze in the all around... All the gymnasts ahead of her were not in Athens, and she has the same physical abilities... I really don't understand, her routines were so much better in Athens
there is only one set of medals in olympic RG, i mean she could't be on several podiums in beijing by definition... she is a wonderful gymnast, but there are two problems, one is that she is a bit older, the other one is probably more important, and it s that RG has never been objective!
And the 3rd thing is that she does not really stand out like Kanaeva, Zhukova, Bessonova, Godunko, etc eventhough she is a brilliant gymnast. Not a lot of "fire" coming out of her...

her backscales are not that good anymore, in athens 2004, she could do more than a full turn!

i think her routine was reallie more of a routine than performance so it feels as if she kind of lack something... But her point is just so amazing..

I didn't mean her split leaps, her back leaps shere her back is throuwn towarsd her foot, they were weak.
